Mountain Haus is fantastic. Front of house staff - very helpful and Friendly! Location is brilliant - steps to the covered bridge and a short walk to the bottom of the mountain/gondola. We weren't sure what to expect on the accommodation front (had seen various photos of the different style of accommodations available). We were not disappointed, in fact we were taken by surprise at the size of the 1 bed apt/condo we had (Rm 335) and the standard of this = high end! It was fantastic (see pics) You walk into a small gallery/hallway (great for your ski gear), turn to the right and you are welcomed by an open plan kitchen, dinning, lounge with a gorgeous fireplace and balcony overlooking the valleyside. The bedroom and bathroom are off the dinning room - very spacious. Very clean! Would go back for sure!
The complimentary breakfast is nice, good! It's hosted in the conference room in the basement. Like all buffets, it's difficult to maintain presentation/cleanliness (that's why I have rated cleanliness a 4) At times it looked messy (the staff do the best they can to keep on top of this) That said, there was a nice variety, it did the job of getting you ready for a day on the slopes. You always have the option of taking this up to your room or of course by in and prep breakfast in your kitchen!
This place is a great find! Hopefully we'll get back there next ski season!

My partner and I have stayed at Mountain Haus located at Vail, Colorado for two years in a row and plan to stay again next year. Each time we have stayed for a minimum of 4 weeks at a time and have come to know the staff very well. We have stayed in both studio apartments and one bedroom condo and although each are owned and decorated by individual owners, they are fully equipped for short and long stays. If there was anything missing, staff would do their best in locating or purchasing (within reason) what was required. One thing to note is that whenever there were minor issues, they were dealt with immediately and staff were always amenable. Location of Mountain Haus is perfect - a short walk to the new ONE gondola at the base of Vail Village and 15 second walk to the free bus shuttle that takes you to the base of Golden Peak - another way to access Vail mountain. We recommend this property to all travellers visiting the area. Mountain Haus also offers complimentary breakfast to all their guests and a fantastic coffee, hot chocolate machine in the foyer that makes proper coffee. From the Bkrs in Australia.

Room Tip: If you are choosing a one bedroom - room 451 and 567 are excellent. They are the best one beddies in the complex in relation to the decor, ambience, facilites and both have double glazed windows and external doors which keeps the noise to an absolute minimum and both have floor heating for the cold winter months.

A short walk through the bridge to Vail Village. What is best is this central location to the village shops, pubs and restaurants. We enjoyed the ski run facing room. Beautiful spot with the creek in the backyard. Three bedroom apartment was very nice and spacious. My son (6'2") had trouble sleeping in the twin bed. A bit short for him. We brought plenty of our own food so the breakfast was not a big deal for us. Daily maid service was a very nice plus.

Our stay at Vail's Mountain Haus could not have been better!

Located 100 feet from the underground public car park and just 20 paces from one of Vail's free bus stops the Mountain Haus is very well sited in Vail Village. Even more importantly it's a very short stroll to Vail's newest cable car (gondola to our American friends).

The staff at the Mountain Haus were very friendly and continually helpful. Our 2-bedroom apartment was excellent... tasteful decor, well appointed and very clean.

We didn't trouble the outdoor pool but enjoyed the hot tubs (great for our over-skied aching joints)

Breakfast is complimentary, basic and served in a conference-style underground room. That said they are very happy for guests to scavenge their breakfast components and return to their apartments for more comfort and privacy.

The George Bar is located on the lower level - perfect for aprés drinks or a nightcap. Suffering our usual jet lag and awaking each night at 1:30am we were tempted to pop down for quick one in our jammies (we didn't!). Weirdly they ask for ID prior to entry... at 50 years old I find this a little curious.

In conclusion, we cannot recommend Vail's Mountain Haus highly enough. We will return again and again!

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor. Good location for walking out carrying skis etc. Bad to be right over The George (but handy!)

We loved everything about Mountain Haus from the friendly, helpful staff to the 4pm cookies and hot drink bar in the foyer to the hot tub for aching muscles and free WiFi. All this and only a short walk to the gondola. This place is a real gem.
