“Early ski season stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2012

Stayed on 4th floor in a King room with partial mountain and stream view.
It advertised ski in/out, but unfortunetly mother nature hasn't given us snow this year, so we had to use the shuttle service to Lionshead or Vail village. That said, the shuttle bus wait was never longer than 5 minutes and the drivers are very friendly.
They have a little market next to the front desk where you can buy food and drinks at very reasonable prices. I would recommend the cobb salad for only $8.50, it was huge and yummy!
The hot tub was nice and there were very few people around as its early ski season.
We booked this place on a Groupon deal so got our room for $89/night!
They are renovating the place and our room was already done, but some floors are still being done, so lots of construction workers walking around the place at all hours.

Room Tip: ask for a renovated room with a stream view/mountain view

Dear Spartyon96,
After reading your review, we are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay at Vail Cascade, especially coming all the way from Michigan! It sounds like you had a great time. Mother Nature has finally helped us out and we’re pleased our lift is running and we’ve received almost 2 feet in the last week. With snow coming down now and snow in the forecast, the ski season is looking good. We hope you come back – we’ll save some powder for you.

I've stayed here before and had a wonderful experience; however, this last trip left little to be desired. The room was very nice, but there was a ton of construction on our floor which was slightly inconvenient. Housekeeping also did not replace our towels or take out the trash and they left the door propped open after they left. Luckily nothing was missing when we returned to the room. With that being said, I enjoy staying at the Vail Cascade and I will probably stay again. This visit was just less than expected.

One of my favorite resorts that I have ever visited. Here is why-
Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly smiling bellman who were immediately ready to help-In a way that was not pushy or overbearing as some can make you feel- Immediately they put you at ease and a feeling that they will handle everything for you without worry.
We were directed to the front desk to check in-again a friendly warm greeting. The check in was very good with great explanations of the property and all of the ammenities that they offer. The room was beautiful. The location is excellent and the shuttle service was very easy to go and to come back. I wish I had time to try out the workout facility but instead opted for the gorgeous hot tub and pool. Overall great experience and highly recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms can be a bit of a walk and Resort is big. I recommend using the bellman to get you to where yo...

We had a one night stay at the Vail Cascade Resort and it was great! They upgraded us to a large king room when we arrived. They have very friendly staff and great amenities on site. They have a beautiful pool and hot tub area and also have a shuttle that will take you to Lionshead Village or down to Vail Village. Great property and I highly recommend staying here for your trip to Vail!

Stay at the Vail Cascade Resort from time to time with my wife, but this time we brought our kids and the fireplace was wonderful to roast marshmellows. If you stay there, check out Atwater. David, the manager sat us next to the fireplace and gave us a mini lesson on all the craft beer they offer. Made for a wonderful anniversary and my wife now has a small interest in beer!

Their workout facility is great and there is also a walk way by the stream where you can relax and have the kids run around. Enjoyed the stay and will bring the family again.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms with a view of the creek!

We arrived there in a drizzingly autumn day but the next day morning it was magically snowing! Room is nicely touched, clean and cosy. The bar and restaurant are in very warm setting and the foods are excellent.

My family stayed at Vail Cascade for a fun weekend sponsered by husband's company. It was for all employees and their families. Wow what a great time. The staff was extremely professional and the service was some of the best I've ever had. The activities for the kids and adults were unique and fun. The kids had fun roasting smores over the outdoor fire-pit while the adults enjoyed a dessert bar and cocktails! Our room was very nice and large with a balcony and a great view of the mountain. The food and atmosphere were lovely and we especially enjoyed our breakfast buffet. We also took advantage of the tennis courts, pools and spa. A very enjoyable weekend. My only complaint would be that they allow dogs. I think that for this reason we will not be back. We prefer to stay at a pet free lodge.

Room Tip: We requested a room with a view of the creek and mountain.
