“Wonderful Vail Hotel”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

The Cascades resort Vail was a wonderful find ,great staff from front desk ,valet,in fact all of the staff were first class, with a special mention to Skye behind the bar ,this man knows how to mix a drink, any drink and was a really good guy . View from the room was special ( room 391) and a big comfy room for a reasonable price. All in all a wonderful Vail visit made all the better by this Hotel and it's staff.

Room Tip: Don't know about the rest but room 391 is a view you don't mind waking up to

The cascade valet crew was so sweet. All the boys were very friendly despite the fact that we parked our own car. The rest of the staff that we encountered were also quite kind and helpful regarding all of our Vail questions. The rooms were clean and very well kept. I was impressed with the outside fires. It was a shame that the hottub was not working but the pool was nice.

Dear racerxxxx,
Thank you for selecting Vail Cascade for your recent family getaway. Sounds like your family enjoyed some of our amenities, although our hot tub was closed for repairs during your visit - we apologize for the inconvenience. We do hope you come back soon –fall is quickly approaching, but there is still plenty of time to enjoy the summer temps and activities.

Why would you not stay in a place that has it's own lift and ski concierge? That is only the tip of the iceberg with this fabulous resort. The staff is amazing, the rooms are huge, warm and comfortable and the public spaces are the best. Where else could you swim in during a snowfall with a gold medal fly fishing stream flowing by just 40 feet away? Restaurants will delight you ...try the fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dessert!

Room Tip: Steve Trombetta and his concierge staff are the best in Vail...use them!

If you're looking for peace and quiet don't go to cascade! There were about 50 kids screaming at the top of their lungs in the pool here during our stay. We were so excited for a river front mountain view room but didn't anticipate to hear kids from the other side of the resort 4 stories up. So much for a relaxing trip to the mountains! Beautiful place but ruined by the screaming.

Dear Jens387,

Thank you for providing your candid feedback during your stay this past weekend. We appreciate hearing from all our guests, whether the feedback is good or bad. We’re glad you found this a beautiful place, and hope your mountain view room along the creek met your expectations. We were sorry to hear, however, that you were disturbed by the noise at the pool. With many families visiting during the summer, the pool becomes a favorite gathering place, especially for children, and we know they can be noisy.

We do hope you have an opportunity to return to the Resort in the future. Please don’t hesitate to contact me directly if I may be of assistance in making your visit more enjoyable during your next visit.

I got married 10/10/10 here, it truly a dream wedding. It was a destination wedding due to my family and my husbands families bring spread around the country. We lived in north Idaho at the time and they made everything so easy for us to do online. The rooms are beautiful the food was amazing and the customer service was off the charts. I am planning on a vacation back here next year for our 5 year anniversary. Can't wait to be there again!!

From the moment we arrived at Cascades, we felt welcomed and taken care of. Sharon Geankoplis, concierge, was so amazing. She planned out our 6 day stay with excitement, and enthusiasm. Sharon made reservations for us to Fly Fish, go ATV'ing, white water rafting, biking from the top of a mountain and zip lining. All we had to do was show up at the appropriate time in the lobby! One night we saw a concert at the Gerald Ford Amphitheater. Sharon had blankets for us to sit on and umbrellas delivered to our room!
The resort is so clean and beautiful - we would absolutely stay at Cascades again.
A few wonderful amenities include: bikes to rent on site, breatkfast buffet, smores by the fire, movies by the pool, and just minutes away from restaurants and concerts. Perfect location. Perfect vacation. We were traveling with our 14 year old twins who enjoyed the resort as much as we did. Enjoy!!

Room Tip: Our room was in the newer section on the 3rd floor and overlooked the Gore River with an amazing vie...

We chose his property because we got a great rate on AAA. It completely exceeded our expectations. We just relocated from Florida to Denver and wanted to take our girls for a weekend trip to the mountains. This was the perfect place! It is charming, elegant and cozy. The staff was over the top accommodating and super nice. We were upgraded to a room with a view of the stream running behind the property. It was amazing, we saw deer running along the stream and slept with our windows open at night to hear the water. Rick at the front desk and Mike our bellman were so gracious and took a lot of time to give us information about the area and things to do. The room was more spacious than your typical hotel room and it was well maintained. We had a yummy dinner at Atwater's and our waiter there was great too! They did free smores in the evening for the kids and then a movie at the pool, which was heated. My girls were in heaven! This hotel is not located in either of the main areas at Vail (Vail Village or Lionshead) so you have to take a shuttle or walk a bit to get to those areas. It was not a huge problem though because the shuttles ran pretty regularly and the lower cost of the room more than made up for it. This is our new favorite resort and we can't wait to go back!
