“Great service”

Great location. When we arrived our skis were stored at ski concierge. You don't have to bring them to the room. Very convenient. Each morning just pick up skis and get on the lift right next to the ski concierge.

The service in the hotel is fantastic.
My only problem were paper thin walls. I could hear TV playing from the room on the left or quite noisy people on the room on the right.

We got this hotel last minute on priceline for about $130. It was very nice, though one the young woman at registration saw that we were priceline people, she wasn't as friendly - stupid! The rooms are a bit small but well appointed. The best part of the hotel was the back overlooking the stream and woods. The pool was there along with a spa, so one could really relax. Also, it was a very nice walk to the center of town through a paved path. Woods and houses on one side, condos on other, but somehow still very pretty. It's a bit of a walk from the hotel (about 25 minutes if you are fit), but makes the hotel seem nicely secluded. Note: the free parking is a bit of a trudge too, but you can pull up to the entrance and drop things off first - or they have valet parking.

The stay was great--but then in July I got a letter saying that "between January 1 and June 15 the computer systems of som Destination hotels were accessed without authorization" "As a result of this unfortunate incident, your credit or debit card information, including your card number and expiration date, may have been subjected to unauthorized access by third parties." Well my credit card was used fradulently before I could change my credit card number. so beware, who knows if this upscale company has fixed its security system.

Was there for a business conference. Wish I could have stayed there longer. Nice rooms. Nice service. Nice scenery.

I really enjoyed this hotel, it's a huge resort that was fancier than I expected. I booked it for around $100 on Hotwire. The room we had was nice, but the view was of the parking lot, I doubt the hook up us cheap folk with good views very often. The room was a basic hotel room, nothing too big, two beds and a small table. It did have a fridge which was nice, but no microwave. The staff was great, very friendly and polite. They had some cool extras like free snowcones one day for the kids and a free outdoor movie on a giant inflatable screen by the pool. Kids loved it. They offer a shuttle that goes into town every fifteen minutes that was nice. Vail has some great parks for the kids, btw.

My only gripe was the $18 a day to park. What a ripoff! If you stay there, I'd unload the car, park in the parking lot in town and take the shuttle back to the hotel.

The hotel has two pools which have toys for the kids, and the workout facilities are awesome! Tons of free weights, and machines, the locker room has a steam room and a hot tub.

I read that they charge $25 a day for resort fees but on checkout I was charged $5 a day which isn't bad at all. If you had to pay $18 to park and $25 resort fee that really starts to add up. It's amazing how cheaper hotels don't tack on fees, but fancy ones do. Weird.

The hotel was very nice and the property was terrific. Be sure to visit the indoor basketball court in the spa area (it is a secret, not to be missed). The food was very good in all of the restaurants and the staff was very attentive and helpful. If going during ski season, do not enroll your children in the ski school at Lionshead, it is not a good experience for the little ones. There are many activities on property for the kids, you need to seek them out as they are in the spa area, not where you can see them. The shuttle into Lionshead and Vail Village is great.

We booked the hotel through American Ski Classics (would reccomend as was massively cheaper than any other web site we found). Please read the positive reviews on this and ignore the negatives - its a really big hotel but the staff are really sincerely friendly, the setting is good right on the creek, so very pretty and has the cascade chair lift right outside the boot room. which means you are up and away really quickly with o messing around. Word of advise for guests here, read up on the facilities and see what you would like to do in the aria spa area as we didn't bring nearly enough other sports stuff!
