Description: Make dining fun again. Four Seasons Resort Vail has reinvented Flame Restaurant with inventive twists on classic steakhouse favorites. Start off by tempting your palate with elk corndogs and a duo of dipping sauces, indulgent sides, such as truffled comte fritters with wild mushroom and bacon ragout, or satisfy your sweet tooth with maple bacon doughnuts with cherry bourbon compote. Of course, our menu still offers a variety of prime steak selections, like the 32-ounce dry-aged Waygu Ribeye, which is cooked to perfection under our 1,800 degree custom broiler, paired with house-made sauces and carved tableside.

“Food and service great; prices, not so much.”

We had breakfast at Flame twice during our stay. The food was very good; the gentleman manning the omelet station was wonderful. The multigrain pancakes with blueberries were excellent, and the huevos rancheros were delicious. The service was courteous and a little bit over-the-top. The only problem was the pricing. We strongly felt that it was over-priced, even for a Four Seasons restaurant.

My son and I ordered well done burgers for lunch upon arrival at the four seasons. The burgers were delivered pink and raw inside. They took the burgers back served us new burgers and comped the burgers! Win!

Dear kdlos,

Our elk corn dogs are a favorite of mine as well, and an example of how we strive to provide 'fun dining' rather than 'fine dining'.

Our share-able sides and appetizers also make for a great large party experience. Thank you for providing your feedback, and we hope to see you again soon.

Sincerely,

Luis Arce

“Good, not Great!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2014 via mobile

This was our second visit to Flame, last time was last year (July 2013). The service was outstanding as was the wine (malbec). The steaks were average... my wife had the filet and I had the Wagyu flat iron. Pretty much the same experience as last year. The main reason we picked Flame on this occasion was we just arrived in Vail hungry, it was a close walk from our hotel and we were able to get 1000 Open Table points for the dine. If not for the Open Table points we would have picked somewhere else in Vail village.
