We rented a 3-bedroom suite. What makes this an exceptional property are the small things. You would expect all the usual things in a luxury hotel with the Ritz Carlton name and you would be correct. But it's the small things that put this one over the top. Little things like an Ipod dock connected to Bose speakers mounted on the wall, plenty of lighting with most switches with dimmers, heated bathroom tile floor, USB charging ports next to the bed, electrical outlets where you expect them to be, a fully equipped kitchen....I could go on and on. Then there is location, location, location. The only negative was the sound from the pool of kids and adults screaming "Marco...Polo". Whoever invented that....but I digress. Every place tries for service, but the staff here is beyond outstanding, from the concierge to the valets to the maids. If you can afford it, this is the place to treat yourself to a lifetime experience.

Room Tip: In the summer, the pool on the south side can be noisy; the rooms on the north side face I-70....Sop...

The rooms and facilities at the Ritz Carlton Vail are absolutely beautiful. There are so many activities within walking distance. For off property adventures and dining, the concierge staff is second to none. They graciously assisted us every day of our stay and their recommendations were always spot on!

No need for a car at this location. Mountain Bikes and Resort Shuttle service were always available. Lionshead and Vail Villages are loaded with restaurants and shopping and an easy walk or shuttle away.

Thank you for a memorable stay! We will definitely return.

This hotel lives up to the Ritz Carlton reputation. Only one minor issue, in the winter the location of your suite probably does not matter. In the summer if you are on the north side of the building you get I-70 and traffic noise, instead of mountain views, mountain breezes and birds singing. unfortunately there is no price difference for the less desirable location.

Last February my family and I stayed 10 days in this great hotel. We had a beautifully decorated apartment with two bedrooms and two and half bathrooms, full kitchen (perfectly stocked with anything you can need), living room, dining room, fireplace, and a spectacular view of the mountain. The service was perfect as in any other Ritz Carlton. In the same building you find the sky rentals and they have free shuttle service every 10 or 15 min that take you to the gondola in Lionshead, or to any other place in the village.
The only thing we missed was the atmosphere you usually find in mountain hotels with restaurants, fireplaces, bar and people all over the lobby. You won't find that here. The Marriot hotel is very close though, and you can have breakfast or dinner there. We are planning to go again next year. I don't think there is a better place in Vail to stay. P

Came here originally for a Lacrosse tournament for my son. From the location, service, and accommodations you can't go wrong. We had a three bedroom and had more than enough room for the six of us. I loved this place so much that I bought into the ritz carlton club!! Can't wait to go back during the ski season. If you are used to finer things and love exemplary service this is the place for you! Note: there's no real on site restaurant, but the bar does serve delicious meals during limited hours.

Spent 5 days here in May. The property is beautiful. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath villa with a den. It was decorated perfectly for a luxury Rocky Mountain resort. The kitchen was great with high end appliances and finishes including a wine fridge. All cooking utensils, dinnerware and glasses were provided and in great condition. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom floors were heated which is a nice touch for a mountain resort.

The staff were wonderful. We were greeted in a very friendly manner each and every time we encountered any of them. Many times they addressed us by name. They always asked if we needed anything.

The only problems we encountered were not major. The pool should be warmer and this time of year the hot tub should not be as hot. I was also very surprised that coffee was not provided in the room, even though there was a very good coffee maker. There was coffee available downstairs, but I would have preferred to enjoy my coffee on the balcony. Also you should be aware there is no restaurant available on site. They do offer private car service to all area shops and restaurants.

Overall this is a fabulous luxury resort in a great location with an outstanding staff. We will return at our first opportunity.

Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with view of pool. Rooms on the other side have a good view but also face the i...
