The RC Residences could not be more perfect. The accommodations are modern, tasteful, spacious and comfortable. Service is warm and friendly. The building itself is perhaps the most attractive in Lionshead, if not all of Vail. The complimentary car service around town was a great bonus. We booked through Vail Resorts and they seem to independently operate certain units within the building, so when we had housekeeping or maintenance requests we contacted them directly. None of that was an inconvenience, and their staffers were equally great, if not better than the RC staff.

We thought about staying at the Four Seasons, which has a more central location, but after wandering into the Four Seasons to have a look around we felt even better about choosing the Ritz-Carlton. The Four Seasons had zero staff members in our outside of the lobby to open their giant doors and no one greeted us while we looked around the hotel. In contrast, the Ritz's doors were open during the daytime and always staffed by friendly valets. The Four Seasons was more austere and quiet - it felt more like Tokyo than Vail, which we found to be a very welcoming and friendly town. On a side note, Vail has to be one of the most kid-friendly towns in the US. Playgrounds and open space are abundant, modern and beautiful. If we ever go back I don't think we would consider staying anyplace but the RC residences.

From the moment you drive in you are treated as royalty. Everyone from the valet to our housekeepers were exceptional, completing every request with a smile. We had a two bedroom 2 1/2 bath, facing the east mountain side, what a view. The residence are furnished with everything that you need down to a fully set up bar.(you provide the alcohol ), also a humidifier to help with dry mountain air. Linens & towels are plush & plentiful. The appliances are top of the line, & there is a Bose surround system. We enjoyed the pool & hot tubs almost every night. The fitness center was fully equipped, & Luke was a great yoga & exercise instructor. They have several activities scheduled for adults & kids during our stay, such as wine tasting with wonderful live music. You are within a short walk to Vail Village or you can take the free bus service or the Ritz will drive you in their SUV. We are looking forward to returning to Vail & the Ritz.

Room Tip: We love the mountain view rooms

My family loves the Ritz-Carlton and can't say enough. During our stay, the entire building was evacuated due to damage to a gas line. The staff worked diligently with all the guests to find outside accommodations. We were put up in a condo overnight (big enough for all 5) without charge and they even deducted a night charge from our staff. The staff was amazing before the event but expressed concern for us even after the incident. We'd definitely stay there again and are already planning another vacation.

Outstanding accommodation, good location at the Lionshead end of Vail and fantastic service.

Stayed for 3 nights at the end of our vacation to the US.

The room was fabulous, with comfortable beds and plenty of space all furnished to a very high standard.

We loved the fitness suite and the lounge. The pool area was great although the weather a little chilly for us to use it.

The service from all the staff was absolutely first class!!!

Would love to return if we are ever in Vail again.

If you are searching for a high-end luxury spot to rest your soul and mind and body while in Vail, Colorado...then look no more. It's at the Ritz-Carlton Club & Residences.

While this is not your typical hotel and resort since it's Not a Hotel, but mostly privately owned residences managed under the Ritz Carlton brand with each condo owner using a different management company to rent their unit/condo...it is quintessentially a Ritz Carlton Service driven property. With that name, comes the best trained and detailed staff found anywhere.

First...our 2 bedroom condo was west facing on the second floor. We had a view of the road, but the noise was not a problem at all , and the view past the road was of mountains. The unit itself, #212 was gorgeous! Attention to detail was found everywhere, from the high-end furnishings to the upgraded granite and Bosh Kitchen Appliances, the art and decorative pieces all complemented Vail's Colorado flavor of excellence.

Concierge was superb and gracious at all times. Particularly Lindsey who planned so many events and made the absolute BEST Restaurant recommendations for us. Thank you Lindsey! Even our son (the young foodie he is) said she was bang-on each time we dined out.

The entire Valet team was personable, quick, professional and always found a way to get us to our events on time using the Ritz Carlton car.

The work-out room was well above average, and had all the best equipment, towels, water, fruit and sauna/shower and change rooms. Never crowded. Nice!

The Lobby bar and lounge was beautiful, however we never saw anyone ordering the small snack items they serve. The only down-side to this property is that there are no restaurants on-site. But, the good news is that restaurants are everywhere in Lionshead (where the Ritz is located) or in Vail Village which is just a 5-10 minute walk away.

Pool was busy, so we avoided it during the day and used the spa at night. Lovely!

Room Tip: Ask for pictures of the unit since they are all decorated differently. I'm sure they are all de...

I stayed here during an oil and gas conference. The hotel is located in Lionshead Village and was within a nice walking distance to Vail Village. Facilities were great and people were super nice. The condo itself was very nicely appointed. Everything you expect from Ritz-Carlton. The valets particularly were most helpful and the valet parking was complimentary. Really enjoyed staying here and would definitely come back.

Room Tip: Stay in Room 108 if you can get it. Its excellent. Quiet but still close to all the amenities.

The Ritz-Carlton Club Vail is an astoundingly luxurious, well maintained, highest-of-quality place to stay in Vail. Seeing that it is not ranked number one in Vail makes me wonder how you could be better, but I digress.

My wife and I stayed in a two-bedroom suite for our honeymoon. The staff was all amazing. They are kind and courteous, willing to discuss and help with any issue or question, and immensely professional. The service industry is an art and they have mastered that art.

The rooms are very well appointed, with full kitchen supplies, televisions, technology, fireplace...everything you could need. Including a washer/dryer and dishwasher. Not that you'll ever do your dishes with the excellent staff, but again...minor issues.

In fact, the only major issue with the hotel (that would be a 4.5 if half rankings were allowed) was the other guests. Rude interactions from other people staying at the hotel made hallways and discussions with the valet or concierge awkward and unpleasant. Avoid the other guests and you should be fine.

The location is a bit off the main path in Vail, but a bus stop nearby (or ample chances for walking) essentially make this a non issue if you consider traveling within the town part of the charm. Certainly, having more time to enjoy the summer peace in Vail is a great plus.

The pool and workout rooms are excellent, though the 'teen' room (game room) could use some love.

Overall, a magnificent staff, location, and amenities makes up for the rude and inconsiderate guests you'll meet in the hallways.

Room Tip: Plenty of great views on any side!
