awesome place - clean and very nice. staff friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Suggested a great place to eat and also great hiking trails that were very convenient. didn't use the pool or work out room as we ran out of time.

I got a tremendous deal staying at Eagle Point using a Groupon. The 1 bedroom condo was very clean and well taken care of. The kitchen was well appointed; there is a pool and hot tub. The front desk staff were extremely helpful in giving advice for restaurants and places to go. Early September is still relatively warm and Eagle Point has no air-conditioning. Our condo had no flow-through ventilation and so could be very, very warm, even with 3 fans blowing. When we were there during the day we had to leave the front door open to cool the place down. The bed was comfortable, as was the sofa bed. No view of the mountains and highway sounds overtook the sounds of Gore Creek nearby, but still was a good value.

Eagle Point is a clean and perfunctory motel-style complex with larger (2br, 2bath, kitchen) accommodation. It has a shared user pays laundry and a pool, and is located near the highway which makes the bedrooms noisy if the windows are left open at night - which you want to do in summer as there is no aircon. There is a bike/walking trail along the river and a nice playground about a ten minute walk away, but you need to drive most places. Overall we were disappointed, although as it was relatively cheap for Vail we probably should have expected it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the south side if you can.

As an older couple, we were looking for somewhere to cook a simple supper after a day (and lunch) out. And of course, we appreciate clean comfortable accommodations. We found everything we were looking for at Eagle Point. The pool looked nice too, but it was too cool for swimming, in my view, not shared by the children in residence. There was no raucous behavior after dark, as the families seemed to be enjoying the free videos and games, as well as getting tired on excursions during the daytime. Overall, it was perfect for us and we hope to return next year.

Room Tip: The third floor can be warm in this un-air-conditioned property.

While the exterior of this property does not live up to the on-line pictures (it is a painted, cement block structure), the unit we stayed in was quite adequate and a good value for the area. Comfortable furnishings. Nicely appointed. A well-stocked kitchen. One hint: The units have no air conditioning. We arrived on a very warm weekend and it proved difficult to keep the unit comfortable during the day.

I stayed here with my family, my brother's family, and parents for a week. We appreciated all the free extras, ie, free lunch one day, free wine & cheese & veggies one day, free transportation to Vail Pass bike trail one day, free use of Xbox and games and movies, use of grills. Everything was clean, staff were helpful and friendly, rooms had been updated.
Rooms don't have AC, but we didn't miss it much. Temperatures outside weren't much more than 70, and it cooled off substantially at night.
There isn't an elevator, but we are capable of climbing a few stairs. We weren't looking to be pampered at every step. Vail is a place full of physically fit people, and we didn't miss the elevator.
Also, it is a few minutes away from the very busy downtown Vail area. We appreciated being a little away from the noise and activity.
It is only a minute to the excellent bike path that runs through the area, and a nice park is very close, very convenient if you have kids. Our children loved the swimming pool, and we appreciated the laundry facilities as well.
Is it a 5 star resort? No, but it isn't priced like a 5 star resort either. We had a great week there, and do recommend it to those who don't have to have elevators or AC. First floor rooms wouldn't be a problem for those who don't want to climb stairs. We liked the scenery from our third floor rooms.

My husband and I stayed for a week in July, and we both decided that we would not stay here on our next trip to Vail. While The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very warm and as they advertise, there is no AC. It was very uncomfortable. The unit is clean but nothing special. The lobby is very small and not a place to hang out. It might be a different experience for winter visitors, but we won't return.
