Larkspur was a wonderful restaurant and experience. The food was superb, one of the best meals I've ever had in a restaurant. The wait staff was very nice and the sommelier was VERY enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food was brilliant, especially the french fries. (Made with truffle oil!) A wonderful wonderful restaurant for after a long day spent skiing.

I will absolutely return every time I am in Vail.

I attended the Jazz After event following the Dallas Symphony concert. It was a treat and the venue, Larkspur Restaurant, was a good place for it. The food was fine - a bit over priced but what, in Vail, is not.

We had not visited Larkspur in quite a few years and it will be quite a few years before we return.

The place started off fairly empty and we can see why. Larkspur does not deliver good value for your dinning $. I would not downgrade a restaurant solely for high prices, but I expect some very stunning dishes for Larkspur's prices and I do not expect such small portions; one would need to order a starter, main and a desert to approach being satisfied.

The food was well prepared and tasty. Larkspur is know for its wine list which is very complete, but very tilted to the high end.

Larkspur is fine dining with a casual apres-ski vibe, conveniently located at the base of Vail mountain. Warm up by the fireplace and enjoy a drink and fine food. Kid-friendly with attentive service.

Went there recently with my family and the experience fell completely flat vs. my prior visits several years ago. No atmosphere and half empty on a Saturday night. The food was tired and way overpriced for what it is and reflected in the lack of diners on a Spring Break weekend evening. Maitre d' completely disinterested in comments and feedback after the meal having not enquired if we had a nice evening on our way out which about sums up the experience. So many better options for less money in Vail Valley (Sweet Basil, Mountain Standard, etc.)
