This is by far my family's favorite breakfast in Vail. Unfortunately, it is every other family's favorite as well. Always very busy, but they have implemented a new check-in system that allows you to leave the immediate area. When a spot of the counter is imminent, the restaurant sends you a text (a five to ten minute warning). Kids can play in the new play area in Lionshead Village while waiting for your text message!

The omelets are fantastic and the fruit is always fresh (berries). The Mexican inspired dishes are exceptional. Great chorizo. The pancakes and waffles are tasty as well. Great coffee.

Locally owned and operated by a very nice couple. It is small, so expect to wait. Once seated, your food comes quickly and is definitely worth it! You will feel the pressure to eat and run, so other patrons can partake as well. We don't mind, since we are looking to get on the mountain.

The Little Diner was the closest breakfast spot to our hotel and everyone we asked said it was the place to go. We had to wait for about 20 minutes. It’s a small space with only counter seating. Our group ordered huevos rancheros, French toast, a blintz, and the corned beef hash. Everything tasted good. One fun thing about our seats was that we got to watch the cooks in the kitchen actually preparing all the cooked menu items. They worked really well as a team without even really using words to communicate. It was impressive! Manage your expectation by expecting a wait. We visited on a Monday morning which should be one of the slower days. Sign yourself in on the iPad up front when you walk in if no one is right there to help you. Don’t let someone else beat you to it!

Ample portions of delicious breakfast/brunch dishes in a very small space - counter seating only. The only downside is the wait - it was not unusual to have an hour's waiting time.

Well run, great menu, and well prepared food in an intimate environment. You are literally in the kitchen and you are entertained while you eat. Worth the wait and a must do in Vail.

Do yourself a favor and make this a must on your dining list for Vail. Don't be turned off if there happens to be a wait. It goes by pretty quickly and they will text you when your seat at the bar is almost ready. Quaint diner setting with an intimate setup with 20 barstool around the kitchen. Have yet to have a bad meal after three visits with three different orders. Pancakes are out of this world. Quick and easy breakfast will have you stuffed without emptying your wallet.
