“Wonderful Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

I have been traveling to Vail for the past 20+ years of my life and it's one of my favorite places to visit. With that being said, this past winter is the first time that I have stayed at The Sebastian and I LOVED it. The last time I was there, it was just me so I took their smallest room. Yes, the room is very small (they aren't kidding) but it's comfortable and designed wonderfully so that you don't feel like you are stuck and can't move. They don't leave chocolate on the pillows every night but something better - it's always a different treat but it's more homey and thoughtful than a square of chocolate. Frost is a must go to, even if you aren't staying in the hotel. The bartenders are some of the best in the Valley (Scotty being the best there). The spa is on the smaller side but it's still quite nice. My overall experience was great!

My wife and I went to vail for a spur of the moment get away. We called the Sebastian and spoke to Abel. He secured us a room on the phone and when we pulled up the valet said we were expecting you. That typifies the level of customer service at this resort. Everybody from the cleaning staff to random employees stop to talk to you and get your feedback. The hotel is situated right at the beginning of vail village and extremely convenient. The lobby has a very modern feel with plenty of seating and a modern looking fireplace. It is very elegant looking. The room charge included soda, water, snacks and apples. We stayed in a king room and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel because of the staff.

We loved the atmosphere of the property but the location is perfect to get anywhere in Vail easily. Definitely going to try and stay here on our return trips! There are so many restaurants less than a minute walk it was a great for us to explore all of them.

Room Tip: It can seem a bit of a maze to get to your room but if you are close to the elevators you probably w...

We are so glad as an American Express Traveler that you chose The Sebastian - Vail to stay we know you have several AMEX partners to choose from in Vail and glad you found our location in the heart of Vail Village easy to navigate from.

As you know Vail Village is built at the base of Vail Mountain making the entire village - ski-in/ski-out just like the great European ski destinations our car free/pedestrian only village makes it a perfect vacation for those who love to stroll through the more than 100 shops and restaurants that are right outside The Sebastian's doors.

We look forward to your return and please come back soon. Best Annie Lynch

Winter, spring, summer or fall ~ The Sebastian Vail is the place to be. Great guest room product, exceptional service, and the location in Vail could not be better. You are close to activities, food/beverage, entertainment, sightseeing and anything else you happen to need. Their pool and hot tubs are excellent and plentiful as well. Their bar "Frost" is amazing and crazy-fun. It's one of the places to be in Vail! Frost's staff are fun & friendly, knowledgeable and very creative. Their drink menu is unlike anywhere else with options you'd never believe. Try both staying at this awesome hotel and experiencing their restaurants and Frost, their bar! You'll be happy you did!

Room Tip: Be specific on what your expectations are before you book. Is it a room with a view of the mountain...

Great location and even better service. Tha staff is amazing and they make your stay memorable.
The Frost Bar in the main lobby is a great place to meet friends and has a great atmosphere, together with the 2 restaurants you hardly have to go out for meals.

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom apartments are great because they have 3 full bathrooms. You can sleep 6 people withou...

Thank you very much for letting us know we did a good job with your winter ski vacation. We are so glad that you liked the location of The Sebastian and its ski-in/ski-out access right from Base Camp at the base of Vail Mountain. Our guests love this amenity - in the summer Base Camp serves as a hub for our adventure concierge team who can plan, bike tours, fly fishing, river rafting and more for your and your fellow travelers.

We are so glad that you liked Frost - with its craft cocktails and local beers on tap. We hope to have your return to us for many years to come. Thank you again for your kind words. Annie Lynch

Nothing bad to say about our visit in February over President's week. Staff went out of their way to make our stay fabulous; spa was beautiful; breakfast was amazing (included with our Virtuoso amenities); pools and hot tubs were well staffed and well maintained; rooms were modern but classic for ski town. Great place to stay in Vail - so convenient and Basecamp makes everything so easy for skiers.
