Spent 5 days in January -- perfect locale (right off gondola); excellent service -- from the valets to the concierge to the building engineers! Not quite as charming or sophisticated as BC Ritz but for the $$ wonderful place.

If you want the most convient ski valet and are willing to sacrifice some other amenities this is the place for you. The pros, location & friendly staff. The cons, worst breakfast experience in vail, very loud and somewhat rowdy bar/ restaurant, tiny roof top pool. We love to ski but also like a nice pool, spa, and gym. For this reason we will be returning to the Four Seasons.

Room Tip: I think the best rooms are in the main building. I think these are called premium rooms. Be aware...

KLHUSA,

Thank you kindly for taking the time to provide a review of your stay with us. Thank you for recognizing our staff and location as we certainly pride ourselves on both. I also thank you for the feedback concerning other areas and will be reaching out to you for additional details on ways we may improve. In regards to the your comment concerning the premium rooms I believe that you are referring to our Premier Rooms which indicate a mountain view. These certainly are amazing accomodations and are located throughout our property. Our other hotel and multi-room product are of very similiar design but do not have that mountain view. Thank you again and I look forward to speaking to you soon.

This was a much more expensive hotel than others we looked at, but it was in the centre of Lionshead Village, the ski valet was handy, and it was a stones throw from the gondola. The rooms were very nice and the doormen were lovely. The restaurant at breakfast time was a disappointment though - the breakfast buffet was not cheap ($20) and when I requested poached eggs from the chef who was making omelettes, they charged me extra. I would have thought paying for a breakfast buffet would include eggs anyway you want them? The service at breakfast was terrible, there were delays in getting coffee or juice, and for the price, the service was terrible. Food was average. I would definitely recommend having breakfast at the Little Diner instead which is down the road - fabulous.

Sweetmangomania,

I greatly appreciate your time in providing a review for The Arrabelle. Although I am pleased to see that your stay was enjoyable I am dissapointed in your experience at breakfast. You are correct, there should not be an additional charge for eggs made to order as this is an amenity of our buffet. I am pursuing these details with our staff as to not repeat this same mistake. Please keep my information on file as I would be happy to personally assist in your next visit to Vail.

Kind regards,

Our family has stayed at the Arrabelle since opening year, every year and this year will be the last year we stay on property. The service is just not there. You are one of many thousands of guests and with massive marketing campaigns running in Mexico, they just don't need your business there - and that is quite apparent. For exorbitant prices, the service should rival any top hotel in the surrounding area. This one is just not worth the extra money regardless of the location. We had several instances where our hotel door was left OPENED by the waning staff. Room service although delivered by very courteous staff, the food was constantly cold. The best (and only true service) is the Valet service. These guys are top notch service and ALWAYS go the extra mile. They really do everything possible to accommodate you as a guest, unfortunately, they are not running the front desk, or room service.

The daily linen service was hit and miss. My 10 year old makes his bed better than most of the staff there. Only on 3-4 occasions (on a 2 1/2 week stay) was everything right. We were very disappointed and will be staying at the Ritz or Four Seasons next year.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share this feedback. Obviously I am very dissapointed to hear of these concerns in service, especially as they are not the norm for our property. I sincerely apologize that we fell short of expectations in specific areas and I assure you that we are following up with our staff in order to ensure these items are not repeated for future guests of the hotel. I will also be sharing your kind words concerning our valet staff. I would enjoy the opportunity to speak to you further concerning the matters and how we may be able to assist in future trips to Vail.

Thank you,

We booked the Arrabelle for our 25th wedding anniversary trip. We read the reviews on Tripadvisor but nothing prepared us for the pure luxury and outstanding service we experienced there. We didn't want to leave the room as it was so beautiful and quiet. All the staff treated us like royalty and went out of their way to make it unforgettable. Nighttime was absolutely magical with all the lights in the trees around the property. The food at the restaurant was wonderful and the service exceptional. Location is the best. We won't forget our experience at the Arrabelle.

We enjoyed everything at the Arrabelle. Would definitely stay there again. The rooms are spacious, modern and very comfortable. Service was outstanding. Location is perfect--- just a few steps outside and you're at the gondola, fine restaurants and fabulous shopping.

What a turn around for Lionshead. This quasi Swiss Village has changed considerably for the better. The Arabelle is second to none in this area and service in beyond comparison. Rooms are extremely comfortable, quiet and furnishings are over the top. Ski n ski out setup and great bars throughout the village. Pool is on the rooftop and has endless view of the mountain and skiers coming down the hill.
