We stayed four nights late spring 2014. Our room was on the 6th floor. We had a Jr. Timberline Suite. Having a separate bedroom from the living room worked for our families needs. Our 5 year old slept on the sofa sleeper and our toddler was able to sleep in a pack and play in the hallway by the main door. It was quiet and gave everyone a private space to sleep. We really enjoyed the room having 2 bathrooms. Having children it can be hard getting everyone ready in one bathroom and this helped expedite us getting out for the evening. The room also had a fire place which we did not use due to the warmer temps. Our housekeeping crew was fantastic. These women were friendly and went above and beyond our expectations! The room was always clean. The hotel is very close to Lionshead Village and the gondola to the top of the mountain. Vail Village is about a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed hiking every day, playing the incredible playgrounds, going to the top of the mountain, and swimming in the pool. This is a fantastic place for families! We also ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant every day. It was apart of our room package. We wouldn't have paid for it otherwise because it is a bit pricey. The buffet does offer a great variety of food. It is a step up from your typical hotel breakfast. The bar drinks were a bit expensive but they did offer happy hour from 3-6 pm. This is a great place to go in the summer! We loved it!

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor to get a better view. Make sure to have a balcony as well.

This hotel has some of the nicest people working there. We were impressed with the bellmen, the front desk, and the housekeeping staff. All were helpful and friendly.
The resort is in a beautiful location in Vail. In the heart of the village and close to the shuttle buses. The room was lovely with a refrig and coffee maker. They only give you one tea bag so bring your own if you drink tea. The bathroom was nice, but the tub/shower is small a slippery when wet. A "grip" mat would be a good addition. The bed was comfortable with nice linens and an extra blanket for when the night got cool. The small balcony was a great place to relax except for the noise from the rooftop HVAC units noisily working 24/7.
The only problem is the "extra" charges. They charge for internet, and parking on site. Other hotels in the area include these amenities in the room rate. We stayed here because an event was happening at this location. If we wanted to stay in Vail next time we would probably choose a hotel that has the included amenities at the same price.

Room Tip: The resort fee is optional at check-in so ask about it.

Staff was nice, room was clean, and hotel is centrally located. The av crew for our conference had hiccups on the second day of speakers and messed up what would have been a great presentation. Separately, my favorite breakfast on earth is the corn flake French toast only seen at Marriott, but it was awful here. Terribly dry, not to Marriott standards. The lunch served at the conference was lackluster as well. Bottom line: good room and location, not so good food.

Our family of four stayed here for a week. The valet staff quickly opened our doors and welcomed us. Dan was always willing to drive us to a breakfast place. Check-in went smoothly. The room was fine (we liked the empty fridge for our water bottles) and the bathroom had a separate shower and tub, which was nice. The housekeeping staff cleaned very well. Lunch at the bar was great- friendly service, quality food (the burgers and fruit salad), and good sized portions. On our last day we were looking to eat a nearby restaurant and one of the employees who was going home not only walked us to the restaurant (it was hard to find), but she also got us an umbrella so we wouldn't get soaked. We had a great stay here.

Average hotel, seemed tired. Not impressed with piles of dirty laundry laying in halls by house cleaning. Rooms were dark and bathroom seemed very small for a Marriott. Surprised the hamburger on menu for room service was $26, didn't try it.

My room was reserved for me by the group for whom I was presenting. We requested a room wit a king size bed. When we arrived at 11 am. We were given a room with two queen beds and looking out at a huge air conditioner unit. We asked to change rooms and were told to wait for 4-5 hrs and we could check in. At 3:27 they called to say the room was ready. We were given a room an the first floor "with a view". The only view was of a concrete patio. The room we had was close to an outside door and it opened and slammed shut until 1:30 AM, and started again at 5:00 AM. The room and bathroom were exceptionally small! I told the staff at the front desk the next morning and I was told it was my fault because I asked for a room with a view.
The only good service we received was from the valet staff. They were friendly and prompt.

Room Tip: Don't accept a first floor room. If you can't afford to upgrade your room from a standard ro...

Arrival by car is easy and the valet team was on top of their game.
Check-in uncomplicated and staff very pleasant
Room was not prototypical Marriott so were pleased with ambience
Dinner in the bar was outstanding. The server was as nice as she could be, as was the bartender. Food came promptly, although had to come from upstairs, and presentation was awesome. Portions were generous & tasty. Like all the tap beers available.
Fitness center was small but fine. Could cool it down a bit more.
