Even for Vail, this place is outstanding. It is conveniently located but in a quiet corner, offers everything one could ask for and the rooms are beautiful and well appointed. The owner, Bob, lives on site with his dog, Speedy, and they are both fixtures of the great room that is lobby, bar, breakfast restaurant and lounging area, with two slope-side hot tubs just outside. Bob and his excellent staff will make your stay magnificent.

Room Tip: Slopeside is worth it and the rooms have fireplaces. Try for floors three or four for great views.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Tivoli last week for 5 days. My son had brain surgery 4 months ago and this was a mom and dad week "off." I can not say enough great things about this place. They took care of us like no other. I never write these type reviews, but felt compelled to share with others how fantastic this small, privately owned, beautiful hotel is. The owner was a friendly gentleman who took the time to share his thoughts on the mountain with us. We were Vail rookies. The staff took care of our every want and need. The ski valets were great guys who knew the mountain well and even waxed our skis for us one evening. The bar was just the ticket after skiing all day (try the "indini martinis"!) The location is as good as it gets. We needed this trip and thanks to the folks at the Tivoli the vacation was absolutely the best, most relaxing week my wife and I have had in a long time. Do yourself a favor, if you are looking around for a place in Vail, book with these nice folks. You will certainly be happy you did. Also, if you fly directly into Eagle you get to ski free with presentation of your boarding pass. A nice little perk to "warm up" with a few afternoon runs on the day of arrival.

Room Tip: we enjoyed the slope-side view in our room

We stayed at the Tivoli on a recent ski trip. Unfortunately, I had spend a part of the night before in the emergency room in Frisco with a kidney stone before heading to Vail to check in rather early that morning. We called ahead to see if we could get a room right away, but because they had been fully booked the night before and no one had checked out yet they had no rooms ready. However, they offered their conference room to us so I could rest and wait for the stone to be gone. They had couches and pulled the TV over and brought me pillows to try to help keep me somewhat comfortable. They even checked on me a couple of times to make sure I was doing okay. And they got us into a room as quickly as they could. The service was just wonderful as was the hotel itself and we will definitely be staying at the Tivoli on future trips.

We stayed at the Tivoli for 5 nights, and found this to be a great experience. The lodge is ideally located close by #1 Gondola in Vail Village. Staff were courteous and very helpful. "Speed", the brown labrador, was awesome.

Room Tip: We stayed in a Tower Village room, and found it ideal, with lovely views over the village.

We recently stayed for a week at the Tivoli during Presidents Week, in two rooms. The location cannot be beat. There is no better location - access to village and lifts, yet quiet. Chair 6 and Gondola 1 are both a short walk from the hotel. The village is a block away, and the Vail bus stops at the corner.

The hotel's ski valet is friendly and efficient. Your ski boots are dried for you overnight. The hotel recommended Troy's for ski rentals - they were very good and just a block away (20% off and 6th day free).

Staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly, starting with Bob, the owner who is frequently in the lobby greeting customers. Breakfast is served with two options: continental at 11.95 and hot breakfast at 17.95 plus gratuity. If your kids simply have a bagel, pastry, etc. be sure to pay a la carte instead - otherwise your breakfast bills will quickly add up. You can also have a light breakfast in your room - the rooms have little kitchenettes.

Each room was spacious with two queen beds each and a mountain view. The bathrooms were luxurious with both shower and tub. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were clean, modern, and well maintained.

Would we stay there again? Absolutely. In fact, we've already booked rooms for next year.

Room Tip: Even number rooms are mountain view. Rooms sell out quickly, so if you want a King bed for example...

A real gem tucked squarely between the gondola in Vail village and chair 6 in golden peak. An easy 2 or 3 minute walk from the hotel. In fact we skied right to the street steps from the hotel's ski valet door on a snowy afternoon. Hotel is warm, extremely we'll insulated in terms of sound - I never heard a peep and the hotel was 100% full. Excellent breakfast offered daily, coffee and cookies après ski. Comfortable rooms. The rollaway was not a winner for my 17 year old son, but what is at that age? We had two rooms on the second floor. Overlooked the gondy 1 which was fun to see at night. A short, very short, walk to the busier part of Vail village. The owner greeted us daily and welcomed friends who came to ski with us from boulder as if they were guests. Offered them coffee and said he was glad to see our get together. Hot tub felt fabulous after a long 5 days of skiing. All in all a total winner. It was our second visit there and will not be our last

Excellent wonderful Vail spot. Won't be disappointed. Great staff, thoughtfully appointed, close to everything. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Vail. The owner was present and greeted us daily. Breakfast was terrific.
