I was recently in Vail with my husband who was suffering with altitude and allergy issues. The staff was quick to find us a hotel with air conditioning and willingness to return our deposit. Due to their assistance we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay in Vail. Thank you to both Molly and Adam.

Thank you for your kind words about our staff members and their attention to finding accommodations for you that better suited your needs. We love for people to acknowledge the personalized service that we're famous for. Hopefully, the next time your travel plans include Vail, the air conditioning situation won't be a factor, and you'll keep the Vail Mountain Lodge at the top of your list,

Very clean and comfortable place to stay in Vail. Quiet, pleasant and helpful staff, and great amenities. We plan to come back to Vail and this will be our choice if they have any openings because right now they are booked through Winter months.

We loved our stay, this was the first time we have visted Vail, and as a family of 4 we still talk 6 months later about this great holiday.

The room was amazing, 3 bedrooms with Kitchen, and after hitting the slopes it was just the most comfortable condo to return too.
Restaurant and location was brilliant, including the breakfast and staff. We will return here when ski Vail again...thumbs up

We were in Vail to hear the Dallas Symphony perform at Bravo/Vail. We chose the VML because of the workout facility and booked 3 massages each during our six night stay. We also made use of the workout facilities/locker rooms. All were first class- don't miss relaxing in the solarium with herbal teas and complimentary snacks before or after your spa treatment. Though some reviewers have complained about lack of A/C, you are at 8,000 feet so just open your windows and use the small fan provided to pull cool air into your room. We were very comfortable even with day time temperatures in the 80's. The complimentary breakfast buffet is very nice with something for everyone. We thought the in house Terra Bistro Restaurant was the best meal of the trip and we ate at several nice places with the DSO tour group. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Request a room on the creek side.

Thank you for being our guest last week, and for your kind comments about our lodging and Terra Bistro, our signature restaurant. We also appreciate your understanding about the lack of air conditioning, and the "solution" you offered. We continue to search for ways to retrofit a/c into the property, and are always gratified that there are so few persons for whom it is an issue.

Please visit again soon.

This hotel has no air conditioning so beware if you go here in the summer. It does not say so on their website or anywhere when you make your reservation.
The room is nice and very clean and the staff is very nice as well and they do have a very good restaurant. It is also close to bridge street and the bus but also close to I 70 so you hear the noise of the traffic at night because you must leave the window open because the room is so hot.

As a result we got no sleep between being hot and hearing the noise from the highway

Thank you so much for your kind comments on the quality of our staff, location, and restaurant! It's true, as one of Vail's iconic lodging properties, we were built before air conditioning was even a thought, and we recognize that there are now a number of visitors who prefer air conditioned accommodations. We continue to explore ways to retrofit a/c units, and continue to improve the fresh air circulation system to better handle that handful of exceptionally hot days. We look forward to your next visit, perhaps during a period that is not so uncomfortable, so that we can once again show you what real hospitality is all about.
