This family-owned lodge is a great place to stay - we have been doing so since 1995. Price includes room, breakfast, dinner, free shuttle to and from Winter Park ski resort, and much more. Food is fabulous, there is an indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, game room, and full service bar. Great place for families.

I stayed here with family recently for one night, and it was quite nice. The rooms are not fancy, but spacious. The highlight is the rec room downstairs with ping pong table, billiards, and other games. Also they serve a nice full breakfast in the morning and are all very friendly and entertaining. Would definitely come back.

This place is great!! Family owned since the mid-70s, cozy, very clean and well maintained, comfy beds with 4 pillows per bed, large rooms (stayed in room 111, upstairs, 2 queens, desk, dresser, 2 luggage racks, and plenty of towels). We were there for one of WP's summer music festivals and the owners let us leave our car in their lot while attending the festival - even after we had checked out. The included breakfast was wonderful; started with cereal, juice, yogurt, fruit, endless coffee, tea or hot chocolate, and warm blueberry bread on your table. Then the owner took your order for eggs, meat and toast. Yum!

The common areas are large and cozy. Large game room has ping pong table, pool table, games, massive book collection (leave one, take two is their policy), fireplace and seating for 20 or so people. There was a separate TV room, a separate breakfast room, a separate lounge area with a full bar, and swimming pool and hot tub out back. The hot tub was just the right temperature - not so hot that you couldn't soak - but not so cool that you didn't want in there.

I want to point out, too, that even though there are tons of knick-knacks, stuff on the walls, etc. in the common areas, there wasn't a speck of dust! I want their housekeeper!!

It's right on the main drag of WP so you can walk everywhere, even to Frasier which is only 2 miles away.

If you have a chance, stay here.

This place, 12-14 rooms, is charming, cozy, and great people stay here. Breakfast and dinner is served each day and food is excellent---no more spaghetti in condos. Family owned and run, they pamper you with private van to the ski area, bar, game room and other great common areas. We have met other skiers, bonded, and return to ski together.

We have been staying at this lodge for a few days each winter from long before TripAdvisor.
Several things keep drawing us back. First, the common spaces are exceptionally comfortable with a cozy fireplace lounge, separate TV room, game room with table tennis and a pool table, etc. The meals are exceptionally good. Wine and beer prices are very reasonable (a rarity these days). The family that runs the lodge makes guests feel like part of the family. The bedrooms, clean and comfortable, are small and pretty basic. But we don't care because, with the great common spaces, we spend little time in our room. All in all we consider this place to be one of the best values for the money that we have found in years of travel.

I have been staying at this lodge for our ski vacation for 30 years, since I was a child. They lodge is a wonderful ski vacation. The family who owns the lodge is friendly and they treat you like family - they have literally watched me grow into an adult and this year we are taking my son for the first time. Everything is taken care of so that when you return from skiing, you don't have to cook, or go out for a meal but can relax by the fire or play games or just rest. The food is wonderful and the service amazing. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

This was our first family trip to Winter Park, Colorado and we so lucky to have discovered Arapahoe Ski Lodge. It was everything I remember about visiting a ski lodge from when I grew up. The staff (which is the family that owns the lodge) is what makes this place the most special vacation you will take to the mountains. The bedroom was a little small for the my wife and two children (since we needed to spread out all of our winter garments), but little actual time is spent in the bedroom. All of the leisure time is spent in the cozy living room, reading room, dining room and game room. There are comfortable chairs, couches and fireplaces at every corner of the lodge and the owners make sure you have everything you need to relax. It was the first vacation with our two boys (9 and 11) that I felt completely comfortable letting them leave the room on their own and come back when they were finished playing (pool, ping pong, board games, puzzles, etc). The kids have already asked when we can go back so they can see their new 'friends' again.
