The resort is great for parties of Family or Friends! It has loads of fun things to do and is close to Downtown Winter Park, which has even more things to do! In the winter, it has loads of runs varying from bunny hills to black diamond and harder. The Village at Winter Park has loads of Restaurants and shopping. In the summer, Winter Park hills support a ton of Mountain Biking!

We love Winter Park Resort mainly for the Mary Jane side of the mountain. It is one of the best kept secrets and under-rated mountains for all of the terrain, trees, and runs it offers! Endless entertainment all day or all week long to traverse through this snow pack, bowls, and trees. There is a great downtown strip with shops and restraunts in the "village" of the Resort as well as some delightful places to eat and get a drink in town (Pepe Osaka's Fish Tacos, Durbar, The Perk Coffee Shop, Deno's, and One Love). Very close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lake, as well as the miles of trails for cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and trail runs/walks in the actual towns of Winter Park and Fraser. Couldn't recommend enough!

I feel an obligation to warn travelers about early ski season at this resort. The main lift from the bottom is out of commission until December 15. Early skiing will be a night-mare. The two lifts that remain at the bottom are not high speed. One of them is a 3 person lift from the 70"s and the other is the 4 person Gemini, which is also used for Ski School.
I have been skiing at this resort for 25 years, I love it. But I think it is only fair to warn people who are spending good money to come here expecting a normal ski experience.

Sent the afternoon. Rode the alpine slide and it was cool. The chair lift up was a nice view. The waiver signing process is awkward.

Spent several days here for business meetings and leisure at the Zephyr Lodge. The hotel is great, very spacious rooms, good customer service. It is located near several nice restaurants, right downtown at the Village, close to the ski attractions. Really enjoyed our time!!
Only item is that we came in with a big pick up truck (rental). Parking spaces seemed a bit tight, but for most general cars it should be ok.

Wonderful lodging, great slopes, many option for quality instruction for all ski/snowboard levels. Our 11 year old snowboarded for the first time and was doing great after 2 days of instruction. My husband went skiing for the first time and after one day of instruction was successful on the greens. Also many options for advanced skiers. The ski up to lodge option is easier for more advanced skiers as the slope right by the lodge is more difficult. Many great food options by the lodge and on the mountain. Beautiful area.

Stayed at the Zephyr Lodge. Right downtown at the Village. We were in a first floor condo with small patio. Great place to stay. We stayed in the fall where it was very quiet and beautiful as aspens were spectacular this year

We enjoyed the shops and restaurants in the village. They are a bit expensive. However, the food was very good. The village is clean and we enjoyed the oversized checkers, chess, and connect 4. The adventure area was a blast. My family rode the Alpine Slide 9 times each, did the climbing wall, the bungee jump, and mini golf. I recommend getting the full day unlimited pass. We were lucky to get a discount with our stay at The Vintage which helped. It will be worth it in the end. Especially once they get hooked on the slide and will make up for it if you get stuck behind a slow person.

I know it's Colorado but I felt like having big bags of pot out where you take your kids to play sports was in poor taste. Otherwise, summer actives were very fun at Winter Park. We loved the mountain coaster and other activities.
