We booked our studio rental thru Winter Park Management and we were very excited to share a weekend at Winter Park. We arrived early and had to wait till 4 pm to check in. We did inquire at the front desk about whether our room might be ready early but since we booked with an outside agency there was nothing they could tell us. When we were able to enter our room we were greeted with an unclean room. Dirty towels on the bathroom floor, cold coffee in the coffee pot, etc. we called the management company we got a voicemail. We tried the front desk again and they called the management company. Within a half hour a representative appeared and after looking around the unit declared it "not that bad" but said it was an easy fix. We were brought to a new unit in a different building. He said this room was much nicer and true enough the furniture was not as threadbare as the first room but it certainly was not a space that was worthy of the almost 200 a night we paid. When we finished skiing we certainly looked forward to a hot shower. How disappointing to find the building out of hot water at 6 pm. The spa area was just as unimpressive with a luke warm hot tub and cloudy pool. What is the point of having a great ski in / ski out option if the rooms / resort is so unappealing. The management company did leave us a $25 gift certificate for the in house restaurant. Paid for a pizza and a beer so I guess that makes up for everything.

Hello
I am a returning customer and have stayed at the Ironhorse resort. The location couldnt be better and the condo was beautifully updated. I also enjoyed the spa/pool and hot tubs after
atving this summer.

I see a great improvement with all of the most recent updates to the resort.

Thanks again!

Alice in Denver

Based on the reviews, I expected things to be a bit nicer. So I am going to sound like a curmudgeon here...
1. We rented through Booking.com and they didn't tell us to arrive before 10 PM when the front desk closes. We arrived at 10:10 and finally got into our rooms around midnight. UGH.
2. The second beds in the units we rented were Murphy beds; not terrible but not that comfortable after skiing hard all day. The sheets, pillows and blankets were were cheap and not terribly comfortable
3. The ski room didn't have enough racks for the skis being stored there each day
4. I could never reach the dining room to make dinner reservations, though when I went down to dinner I was able to sit in the bar area and the meal was pretty good.
5. there is nowhere close by to eat breakfast; so go to a store and cook your own in your unit
6. The ski-in, ski-out was quite handy and as promised
7. The workout room was better than most with 2 spin bikes, a recumbent bike, a standard upright bike, 2 treadmills, an elliptical and several free weights and weight machine options
8. the outdoor hot tubs were nice; not round where you can't hear conversation from across the way.
9. everything smelled a little musky and was worn.
If you are on a tight budget and don't mind small inconveniences, this is not a bad place. It's just not a NICE place.

My waife and myself stayed here for one week.
1. The ski in and out is good, it has a corridor on the back and you are able to ski down hill to the lifts, to get back you may take the shuttle back or if you are able to ski the blue rins then you may come back through the corridor.
2. The artificial fire place worked very well.
3. It has a little kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, coffe maker, glases, dishes, etc.
4. The hot pool and outside jacuzzi are great to lossen up the muscles in the evening.
5. It is not a luxury place but for the price you pay it is very good.
6. there is a restaurant down that it is open 5 day a week.
7. It has a laundry selfservice which it's very helpful.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have better view.

Stayed here again on a trip to Winter Park. Love the ski in/out location. Last time we stayed our youngest skier was only a green level skier and it was hard for him to ski to the condo. Now that he is a great blue skier it is no longer an issue! Love the underground parking, two nice hot tubs and how we can just ski back for lunch or to pick up members of the group that wanted to sleep in! This is an older condo, built in the 1980's...so keep your expectations in check. But it is clean, the units we have rented have been updated and the location is perfect!

The resort staff was helpful and friendly, but our stay was not terribly memorable.the condos are outdated, the restaurant and bar are not open in the summer and there was no one that really went out of their way to give hints about recommendations. The group coordinator did not make much effort to put family members even in the same building. Unfortunately I was not very impressed overall. I will say that since the units are individually owned some of the units were nicely furnished.

Room Tip: Ask for specifics.

Pilot light on fireplace in July is turned up so much the unit is too hot to sleep in. Called maintenance, and after calling they conferred with their management, they refused to come out. Have also discovered that the bed springs in the fold-out couch are poking through the mattress, and the bathtub drain is clogged.
Misrable.
