Pre-arrival was poor. I was booked into a Smoking room in error which I found out the day before I flew out. When I rang the hotel they changed this but downgraded me to do so. Ended up next to the ice machine in a special needs room. Checked in to be told that ALL rooms were Non Smoking so why did they downgrade me? Service staff at the bar and restaurant were great. Check in staff could not care a less.

Our hotel is 100% non-smoking, with only standard room types of king and double rooms available. I apologize that this was not clearly conveyed to you on your first inquiry. I apologize that the desk staff did not meet your expectations, as we pride ourselves in providing great customer service to our guests.

Rooms noisy, beds hard. Breakfast to be paid for no continental or comp. Good just off 84 and a jump off point New England and the East. Other wise clean and somewhat comfortable. We did not try the restaurant for anything and chose to eat of, shame really. The prices did not reflect the menu available. Seemed a little expensive. Bar was devoid of customers and seemed very impersonal. No Atmosphere, even for a Friday night. nothing going on, nothing to stay on the property for.

Thank you for your review! I am glad that you found our location convenient, we are right off of the highway with many services on property and right next door, so we are a convenient stopping off point. Our Garden Sleep System beds offer a custom sleep experience, where you can adjust the firmness and softness of the matress with just the turn of a dial, and we are always happy to honor room location requests. Our small bar offers cocktails in the evening and is a great place to catch a game or to sit on the adjacent patio with firepit on a beautiful day! Please do try our restaurant on your next visit - the breakfast is a cooked to order hot breakfast, offering hot and cold items all you can eat, as well the Chef will prepare omeletes, french toast, pancakes, etc. to your order - a great value! We hope to see you again.

This is a very nice hotel. Very conveniently located with easy access. Pool and spa area are very clean with an adjacent exercise room. Nice bar area with an outside fire pit. Clean and comfortable rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

We were traveling for dog shows and checked in after driving straight through 24 hours from Wisconsin at 9:00 at night. We checked in, told the guest service person that we had dogs and that we would not have any in the room. Well, that night after setting up our eight exercise pens and feeding all 14 dogs that we were traveling with we finally got to bed around midnight. The next morning up at 5 and went out once again to exercise the dogs and head off to the dog show. We had pooper scoopers and we NEVER leave any mess when we stay at a hotel. We returned from the dog show to find that our pooper scoopers were gone and all of our exercise pens (not cheap equipment ... any of it) was laying in a heap and basically in a twisted mess. No sooner than we get back to the hotel after a LONG tiring day three people come out of the hotel to "confront" us. First they ask us if we're staying there. (Seriously??) Then the manager says that her hotel is NOT a pet friendly hotel. (I almost said to her that they weren't people friendly either). We informed her that we were very clear when we checked in on what we would do. Then she says that she'll have a conversation with her night manager and let him know that what he did was not acceptable and if she were there that we would not have been allowed to stay there. Now mind you... we're paying $130 a night plus taxes for this type of treatment. So, after this nasty confrontation from three people at this hotel we put our exercise pens back together and took baggies to clean up after our dogs (our scoopers had "mysteriously" disappeared) and went out to buy new scoopers. Oh, by the way. To use the exercise pens we had to take them down each and every time we used them because the manager said we were "trashing" her hotel. Those that travel and take care of dogs know that taking down and putting up the exercise area is alot of work. We have never been treated by a hotel in this way and have never had any issue with any place that we have stayed with dogs. I certainly believe that this situation could have been handled with much more courtesy and remembering that we paid full price for our room and left the grounds and our hotel room spotless. What a shame for the company to have this type of behavior from their employees.

Visited the hotel for my sisters wedding the first weekend of the month. Family from the NYC area and myself from the Midwest. Rooms and hallways were spotless. Has a hospitality suite for a breakfast Sunday morning and always had staff around asking if we needed anything. Highlight of the resort was the fire pit - nice to have a few adult beverages with family and friends outside.

George and I were driving from Florida to New Hampshire. We were close to Connecticut when he remembered that there was an hotel that he liked in Danbury. We missed the exit because a tree covered the highway sign, but a quick turnaround delivered us to the driveway of the hotel that is very close to the highway. I visited many Garden Inns and this is one of the best. Courteous and professional stuff, immediate response to fix a problem, clean and comfortable rooms. No noise from the highway and no noise from the wedding downstairs. Free hot and good breakfast in the morning if you are a HHonors member, or a modest payment if you are not. I will make a point to stay there when I travel south or when I need a base to visit the area attractions.

Quick access off the freeway, easy to find. Starbucks sown the street. Check in quick with reservations, room was nice, clean, modern, with fridge and microwave. We got in late (after midnight) so parking lot was full on a Friday night, but there were still enough spaces for us.

LARGE lobby area. Nice.

Shower, linens, cleanliness all superior. Mattress a little old but comfortable. Flat screen TV.
We liked it all for our quick, on the road, overnight stay.
