Description: Flanders Fish Market is Connecticut's largest full-service Restaurant and Award-Winning Fresh Seafood Marketplace, recently inducted into the CT Hospitality Hall of Fame and voted 'Best Seafood' 2017 runner-up in Connecticut Magazine. Seafood is our specialty, but we offer our guests something for every taste, as taking care of our patrons is why we've been in the business since 1983. Whether you'd like us cater your special event on our custom clambake trailer, order take-out, or dine with us in either of our dining rooms, outdoor patio, at our bar, or enjoy an intimate private dining experience at our Chef's Table, we keep it FRESH. Period. 7 days a week. And with our recent renovation... we look pretty fresh, too.

The bar dining area is noisy, the larger back room quieter. Outside dining is more casual. The fancier dishes are actually not as good as the simpler preparations.( Rachel Ray loved their lobster pot pie. Me, not so much.) I could happily eat here every week.

Great food - large portions. The clam chowder & hot lobster roll were great. The filet sandwich was huge & tasty. Go hungry. Definitely worth the trip.

My father and I went to this restaurant on our way back from NYC. They have seating outside and inside. We ate inside and thought it was great. The food was very good. I don't eat seafood but they have many other choices to chose from. Highly recommended.

It's a pleasant enough place, but you would be misguided if you were looking for a top quality sea food meal. This is not the place.

I went with two friends last night. Never again. Food was not good. The most chewy calamari we ever had, no exaggeration. Overcooked. Fish and chips were ho hum bland, and fries were mediocre. Stuffed seafood platter was borderline inedible and presentation was unappetizing. Service was mostly an exercise in frustration, and they were not busy. Plenty of parking though, lol.
My biggest regret: we stopped at the Eclectic Chef downtown an hour earlier and ordered the best crab and lobster bisque I ever had, but saved room for dinner at Flanders. Should have stayed at the Eclectic Chef, and will do so next time.
