The hotel is at th end of a road that houses some executive buildings. At night, it appears to be alone in the woods. The hotel, itself, is extremely inviting from its lobby to its bar and restaurants. The room was very clean and I enjoyed everything except the fact that the bathroom was too small ! All in all, a great bargain whcih includes free parking.

Nestled in a park-like setting at the end of a long road (we turned around twice thinking that we had passed it) conveniently across the street from a freeway exit, we had a nice room, enjoyed their multiple pools (indoor & outdoor), & friendly staff. It is not a deluxe hotel, but was a comfortable and relaxing location for a family reunion.

Room Tip: We liked our room facing the forest (our daughter loved watching the squirrels). (And the pool-facin...

Very nice clean hotel. Bartenders were friendly good times. The pillows were great but do we really need six on each bed? My wife would have been overjoyed !! Our room had a small balcony where I could enjoy a smoke and a coffee in the morning.
The coffee provided in the room with coffee maker was very tasty.

Is this an independent Marriott. I can't believe that Marriott stands behind this type of lodging. If you don't mind having your things stolen while you are eating their poor breakfast, then knock yourself out.

Housekeeping a joke.
Management a bigger joke.

The blind leading the can't see.

I was pleasantly surprised by this marriott. The staff was extra friendly and obliging right from the front desk onward. They upgraded me from two doubles to a king free of charge. The room was excellent, clean and beautiful. Lovely bathroom. Although it was a Saturday and the hotel was full and running various affairs, the room was quiet throughout. They also had a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub. Lovely landscaping. All for $120 including tax. Great!

Room Tip: Reserve in advance

Spent a Friday night at this hotel that was dealing with accommodating utility workers trying to cope with Hurricane Sandy, refugees from local homes without electricity and heat, and several busloads of a women's Christian group. People behind the desk kept their heads, were readily available and helpful. The only downside, no one at the desk ever answered a call made from a room; one had to go to the lobby. All in all, friendly, accommodating in spite of the chaotic scene from the weather.

Room Tip: there is a separate building for concierge level. If you are an elite member, choose that.

As a Marriott Awards member, I tend to gravitate towards staying at Marriott hotels more than anywhere else and, when our son and his girlfriend moved to West Hartford we were anxious to check out the area and therefore decided to stay at this hotel. Because of the location, we will definitely return to this hotel but I don't feel there is really anything special being given here - check-in was very speedy - a bit too much for me since I'm usually offered free breakfast on the weekends because the concierge lounge is closed but we were not asked if we wanted that nor were we asked if we wanted extra points or something from the store - perhaps an oversight on their part but, since we showed up after 9:30pm, there wasn't exactly a line behind us so they should have at least offered those to us. And, breakfast was a bit funny since my husband ordered his all time favorite - blueberry pancakes and the waitress proceeded to forget the order .....not once but two times. Yes, we were comped for that but.......it was pretty funny. So, as I mentioned earlier, we will be back but not because we got the 'warm and cuddles' but because it's so close to where our kids live that, for us, location is what's it's all about in West Hartford, Ct.
