“Great atmosphere, everything else...disappointing.”
Reviewed 31 August 2013

The rooftop is very nice, great decor & atmosphere.
The hostess staff was, ok. I can sense right away that they are not very attentive and that their tone lacks enthusiasm.
My date and I were taken back by the waitress's request to take a credit card before dining. We asked why that was and our answer was that it is; "management policy".
Evidently, patrons have left enough times without paying, that it made it necessary for this restaurant management to implement a rule that is insulting to the rest of their honest, paying clients. Perhaps management should implement better management of their team and overall attentiveness to what is going on there.
Additiionally, their food was medicocre, at best. I DO have to say that their oysters were fantastic. Everything else was tiny and very disappointing.
We communicated, very nicely that we were insulted and they chose to recite; "It is management policy", instead of making an exception. It was very slow that evening.
Their lack of caring about their clients was disappointing. Too bad for a place that could really shine, we go out a lot and they missed out on having two loyal clients.
The positives, the oysters, the atmosphere, wine and my date.

“What a bad evening at Rooftop 120!”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

We 1st walked in last evening and noticed the restaurant was slow, there were plenty of open tables. We sat and the waitress asked us if we were having dinner or just drinks. We said dinner, then she asked for a credit card to hold during our meal. I was highly offended by this request and asked to speak to the manager. He came over and explained its management policy to do this. I explained I was insulted and have never been asked to have my credit card held in ANY restaurant traveling around the globe, also the restaurant is located in Glastonbury CT a wealthy town with many millionaires around. The manager did nothing for us about that at all. Then the meal came, huge disappointment. The tuna entrée was tiny and highly expensive. Not happy at all. This restaurant is all about them, making a profit over the guests that eat there. I would highly AVOID and eat at Bricco's next door, nice fresh scratch Italian food. Lesson learned here. Stay away!

Trendy venue for sophisticated clientele to have a meal with co-workers/friends or a happy hour drink. Loved the décor, great drinks and food, and friendly knowledgeable wait staff.

“Nice people, good service and local active gathering”
Reviewed 7 July 2013

I visited this restaurant in June with my son. While parking is terrible for any business in this area, the effort to find a parking spot was satisfied went we took the elevator to Rooftop 120. We were greeted by an attractive ,pleasant and social young lady who engaged us in short conversation and directed us to the bar area, where we had requested. The two bartenders immediately approached us, even though the place was very crowded with the locals just getting out of work. It was happy hour. The cocktails were prepared perfectly. We did not eat at the restaurant due to time restraints. However, many at the bar had ordered numerous bar appetizers and seemed to be sharing and enjoying. I liked this place whenever I am in Glastonbury again, which is often. One thought: While the cocktails prices during happy hour are fair, be alert to when it stops as they do not tell you or ask if you want a drink before ending happy hour prices. A patron always appreciates knowing when it is ending and will show appreciation with a larger than normal gratuity. Notwithstanding Danielle was a delight.
