Norm's Diner is a real throwback of a place, an old-fashioned diner with no pretensions whatsoever. We had breakfast there early on a Sunday morning, and there were choices I don't always see. Hash browns and eggs? Of course, it's a diner. Hash? Good. Beans and toast? Now we're talking. Haven't stopped other than at breakfast (it's open 24 hours), but it's a great place for a hearty breakfast. The price is right, too.

When we travel we like to find local spots for meals, rather than chain restaurants. Usually, we just use the GPS and search "food". Norm's came up so we checked it out. So glad we did! It's a great little place. The food is good and the service is better. Check out that broccoli mushroom scramble!

We first visited Norm's for son Peter's "Welcome Home" and love the homey atmosphere. Our Pastor grew up in Groton and mentioned fondly trips to Norm's with his father before a cruise. Breakfast and sea food are great. Hamburgers also. Your dollars go further here.

When you think of a greasy spoon diner, Norm's fits the bill to a T.

Food was outstanding and cheap. I got the meat omelet (bacon, sausage, & ham) with cheese $9.95, it was huge.

I ate at the counter since there was maybe 6-8 booths inside and they were full. Place was clean, but I wouldn't want to eat off the counter top.

The service...slow to be kind, 10+ minutes before my order was taken. I don't blame the waitress really. One waitress in the entire diner. She not only took the order, she brought all the food out, rang up all the customers and bussed all the tables. To say she was busy is an understatement, so the service suffers.

The guy on the griddle was friendly and was quick to get the orders out.

Enjoy the food, just be prepared to wait a while to be waited on.

Norm's is a great little hole int eh wall place that is amazing food at a great price! You can sit at the counter and see them cooking your food for you! It is an old diner that still has the grill on the other side of the counter. Its great!!!
