Good friends of ours introduced us to this hidden gem. This is one of those places that is unpretentious and fills a great nitch. Anyone willing to fly in for dinner is a place I want to go to. It is out of the way and a little difficult to find which makes it worth it. It is a dyed in the wool, airport restaurant and bar. Next to the fantastic staff, the patrons are an integral part of the atmosphere. People are flying in for dinner and you can meet some very interesting patrons. If you are just a little outgoing you will feel welcome here. Don't let the "sports" label put you off, this place offers much more. I was extremely impressed with the ability of the kitchen staff and bar staff. It is rare to find employees that are ALL so upbeat. The menu was an unexpected surprise offering some fresh dishes you would expect to see in downtown Hartford. The bartenders are unbelievably friendly and will try and accommodate whatever it is you need. The happy hour is second to none with some really creative offerings and exceptional prices. If you are looking for a fun night out for dinner don't sell this place short. Pull up a stool and start talking to your neighbor, you will not be disappointed and your wallet will thank you. Oh, I almost forgot, the rear of the wall is all windows so you have an awesome view of the plans arriving, departing and most impressive, parking outside the entry door. It is like "car hop" on steroids.
