If you're into old restored homes with history this place is more than reasonable. Parking in rear, some gardens. Short walk to Wadsworth Atheneum, Ancient Burial Ground, Bushnell Park and several other nearby venues; a few blocks from CT river.

I've been to an endless amount of New England historical houses and quite frankly they start all seeming alike. This one isnt well advertised and I've walked by it and not noticed it, but it's worth visiting. There is so much original items and informations to document the family that lived here--I ended up spending 2 hours here. Tour guide was passionate about history and fit the tour to my needs. Support the house of you can!

History is just a short ride into Hartford on Main Street, you can step back into time and experience the past up close. You get the feeling that the old family is still there. Great history and a nice place to take the family! Must See!
