Spent two weekend nights with my wife at the Starbuck Inn, and had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Peter Starbuck is a welcoming and attentive host, and was always available. The Inn is a short walking distance to the shops downtown and restaurants. The queen room was clean and comfortable, and snacks were available in the cozy sitting room every day. We look forward to staying at the Inn again and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

My husband and I stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The owner is very accommodating, and owns a establishment that is family owned and operated. By far the best part of the inn was talking to the owner Peter. Cocktails with Peter was a blast. The inn is well maintained inside and out which includes park like grounds. Bedrooms and bathrooms very clean and large. Ruby was also very friendly.
Can not wait to return and enjoy this fabulous inn and wonder town.

My husband and I had the delightful experience of staying at The Starbuck Inn, on our way back to N.J. after dropping our son off at a Ct. summer camp, 2 hours east. It is a beautifully run inn, set in a pristine New England environment. The Innkeeper, Peter has a warmth and hospitality, unsurpassed. The extra touches: plush bedding, outside sitting areas, lovely grounds, and the dog, Ruby, add to the inviting air.

Pros: Our room was clean, bed was comfy. Nice walk to town. Quiet. Nice grounds.
Cons: Only two bath towels for 2 people so had to use hand towel to dry my hair. No drinking glasses in bath to rinse after brushing. No ice or ice bucket. - no one to be found to ask for anything and didn't know how to reach them - stand in the hall and call out? No one in the office. Breakfast was fresh fruit, some browned and withered, and 3 small, dull pancakes- served to you- no choices. Guess when you make reservations, be sure Pete is around.

Well located, featuring comfortable, spacious rooms with modern amenities made our stay here a memorable one. We enjoyed a bottle of wine on the beautiful patio and our host magically appeared with the perfect appetizers to nibble on. Although on the main road, the rooms are quiet and the view from the back patio is one of lovely gardens. Breakfast was generous, delicious and the coffee - specially made for the inn - was perfect. The bonus was our host the owner, Peter Starbuck. Well traveled, erudite and friendly, we enjoyed conversing with him not only over wine, but in the kitchen the next morning while he made coffee and breakfast. This place is highly recommended.

Room Tip: We liked our room on the first floor rear that opened on the back lawn.

The Starbuck Inn exceeded my expectations! Peter is the quintessential host, extremely attentive and has made the Starbuck Inn my favorite home away from home. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, clean and spacious. Afternoon tea is fabulous. This place is a MUST!!

If you like to be pampered with divine breakfasts, ensconced in elegant rooms with the most comfortable bedding you've ever slid into, and if you enjoy sipping sherry and nibbling delicacies at afternoon tea, the Starbuck Inn is THE place for you. This was not our first visit. We travel quite a bit, and we plan our itinerary to include Kent, Connecticut just so we can stay at this special Inn. Peter, the Innkeeper, makes us feel right at home, only better. (OK, true confession: if my husband weren't around, I'd propose to Peter.) We've met interesting people and enjoyed their good company — the Inn attracts discerning guests! Great place to reboot, refresh, relax.

Room Tip: Every room is elegant -- we have checked out most of them!
