We stayed in the new wing, which was added to look consistent with the style of the original building, but with updated bathroom amenities. Peter and Ruby are both friendly, comfortable, and welcoming. Our room was quiet and we had a great view of wonderful birds at the bird feeder. Breakfast was lovely.

Room Tip: For a couple with one or two children, you might want another room instead of the rollaway bed, which was not the B&B's best feature.

Peter runs a bed and breakfast the way it should be done. Perfectly.

We wanted to celebrate our anniversary in a quaint New England town. Starbuck Inn, right in the center of charming downtown Kent, right off the main road is well maintained.after an amazing hike at kent falls we arrived at Our room , which was was soft and cream colored and relaxing. The sheets and pillow were exquisite. He held tea in the sitting room at 4pm, equipped with a beautiful fire. But the best part was the array of snacks, cheese, salami, nuts, cookies and macaroons to name just a few! We sat there and read his books and magazines for a few hours and chatted with him. He suggested the local restaurants and there were a few! We had dinner at the Kingsley( kent alum, delish) and a night cap at the fife and drum (loved it here, ate light lunch there!)

All in all, will be back. Peter and his pup ruby were great. He's a wealth of knowledge of the area. Very fun to chat with!!!

We stayed two nights. Each day at 4 in the afternoon our host Peter put out a variety of light fare with tea and sherry in the living room. This room is cozy and the fire in the fireplace just adds to the ambiance. Our room was a nice size:an additional reading chair would have been welcome. The room was nicely decorated and the towels luxurious and housekeeping was excellent. Each breakfast was unique and we enjoyed the fresh fruits and local specialties as well as the family recipes. We would definitely recommend the Starbuck Inn for hospitality and quality.

We stayed two nights at Starbuck Inn for a quiet anniversary weekend. We arrived in time for afternoon tea and were immediately impressed. The Inn was remodeled in the recent past and was in excellent condition and exceptionally clean. Although located on route 7, our room was very quiet as the Inn is set back from the road. Breakfasts were delicious with fresh, organic ingredients. Peter is a wonderful host and we are looking forward to retuning.

Our stay with Peter at the Starbuck inn was our first stop on an amazing week in New England to celebrate my 40th. My husband and i arrived at the inn after flying into JFK. We were greeted by a very welcoming Peter who had put on a wonderful afternoon tea. Cakes, antipasti, nuts, sherry, tea and more. Really wonderful! Our room was very comfortable, stylish and had lovely views over the garden. Peter recommended the fife and drum, a short walk away, for dinner and we were not disapppointed. Breakfast was fabulous and our only disappointment was that we had only booked one night. Kent is a really lovely town and we would have loved to have spent more time there. Lake Waramaug is definately worth a visit if you are in the area and the foliage was just starting to turn when we visited in late september. i really hope we get to visit the area again in the future and to return to the Starbuck inn.
