Room was okay , the Restaurant was lousy, Worst Dining Experience Ever . Food Cold Service very Rushed, Wrong Check , Lousy Attitude by manager and staff. Two Thumbs Down and a razzle berry on this Hotel !

The beach, the rooms and the service are just wonderful here! We plan to come back as often as possible this summer. The best part is, of course, the picture-perfect location smack dab on the beach, but the friendly, helpful staff is also a very important feature.

We stayed at the Madison Beach Hotel for Fri-Sat nites, the weekend of Sept 14-15. Because we wanted a view, we chose the last room that was not on the first floor - the mini-suite. Be warned that the mini-suite is essentially right next to the hotel bar, which has live music Fri and Sat nights. Luckily, we got in fairly late both nights, and liked the type of music, so, it could've been worse. But I could hear every guitar strum, drum beat, and vocals pretty clearly, up until about midnight. On top of that, after getting in late, someone was outside the room at 6:30am Sunday morning with a leaf blower. And, we could hear our 'neighbors' talking, through the walls. Needless to say, we didn't sleep as much as we would've liked there. But, the rooms were very clean, I detected no scent of mustiness, the continental breakfast was better than I would've thought for that type of breakfast, the food at the restaurant was good, and the people that worked there were very nice. The decor was 'old-timey' beach hotel, which fit the venue perfectly. Would I stay there again? If I could get a regular room, away from the hotel bar, more in the off-season, I probably would. But in the 'expensive season' for what we got, I thought we paid too much. The views from the upper floors are spectacular though. If you decide to stay there - enjoy it!

We've been staying at the Madison Beach Hotel for the last 20 years. We had not been able to visit since 2003 and what a pleasant , low-key transition has begun! The rooms are still quaint hotel rooms (nope - this isn't an inn or a B&B), but the upgrade in beach and porch furniture was wonderful. The continental breakfast is substantial and the lunch/dinner menus were excellent and reasonably priced. If only a small portion of the changes planned for the next two years happen, we're afraid we'll never again be able to make last minute reservations - MBH will be booked solid for the season!

Like so many other people have said this isn't a resort. It is an old hotel on the beach.Cons- The rooms are on the musty side --the shower curtain had a little mold, but if you consider the price for a room on the beach in the summer, it is worth it. No refrig or coffeemaker--and they didn't tell us there was wifi access either ! IF you are not expecting a 4 star hotel, then you will be fine here. Pros- you are right on a small beach and the guy on the beach was wonderful--attentive-friendly and the chairs were nice. Their upstairs horseshoe bar is rustic and you can eat in or out. I don't think the food is top notch--but I have heard it is good for a burger etc. The continental breakfast was really good. A huge bowl of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries. Another one of pineapple and melon. Great bagels (not frozen) with cream chesse. Juice, coffee, cereal, granola---more than I expected. The location is good as there are many great restaurants in the vicinity--outlet stores--etc.
I didn't know they took pets nor did I see any here, but again if that is something you are interested in I guess this is an appealing factor.

I beg to differ with the guests who found the hotel a " dump".
The hotel has much character. The owners and staff were very accommodating. Where else can you bring your loving pets so close to the beach and share the experience with them ?
I havent found a five star hotel that accepts pets.
Madison Bech Hotel gets an A plus !!!!
