I stayed 1 night in this hotel, it was a Thursday. Business travel. It was very busy at this hotel as there was a band-concert being held there that night. I didn't get to see it, as i had a business dinner. My room was beautiful and over looked the ocean. Bed was like a cloud. Shower was great. The only thing i can say is i was disappointed when i came back from dinner just after 11:00 to find the hotel shut down.......i was looking forward to a night cap before i went to bed and the bar was closed, and you can't get booze from room service. Other than that, all was great and i left early the next morning.

Great meal. Accommodated our friends kids without issue and service was top notch. Food was excellent with high quality sea food and attentive service. Prices were also very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Recently spent the weekend at this hotel. I called the day before to inquire about our room location as I read on this site to request a high room if there was a wedding. I was told I was on 4th floor, upon arrival a very unfriendly woman at desk told us we were in room 201 and there was nothing she could do and there was never a record of me being given a room on 4th floor (I did not make that up). Subsequently we requested a late check-out and without even thinking was told NO. As was described by another visitor, the wedding was in fact loud (waking up my kids) and going on past 2:30 prompting me to have to call the front desk. Also, wait staff at the beach were inept to say the least, they could not even get me a half apple juice/half water (she did not understand what that meant). Won't be going back here soon, for the money they were not friendly and/or accommodating. Plus the beach was VERY ROCKY, could not walk barefoot.

Room Tip: Request a room on 4th floor, get confirmation, especially in writing.

This is the second time we have tried the Restaurant at the Madison Beach Hotel. This time, we had four friends, and we sat at a very comfortable banquette inside. We were very happy when we were assigned the same waitress, Katie, as we had the first time we ate out on the porch overlooking Long Island Sound. Katie is congenial, accommodating, and has an opinion about what is best on the menu, a very nice trait to have when everyone doesn't know the menu or know what the restaurant's specialties are. Again, we had the hanger steak, and the lobster and shrimp carbonara (times 3 because it was so highly recommended). The waitstaff team was very attentive with rolls, water refills, and clearing. One of our party required gluten-free food, and Katie not only accommodated with the bread, but since he enjoyed it so much, she brought out the packaging so that he could see the brand. She even mentioned this requirement to the chef, and the chef had gluten-free pasta. Since he wanted the carbonara, he was so surprised that she had mentioned it. He had it that night. We were sad to know that Katie was leaving for college. She will do well in whatever profession she chooses. All of us left with a good feeling about this restaurant. We will be back!!!

Room Tip: We did not stay at the hotel, but went to the restaurant only. Has a great bar scene as well.

My husband and I just returned from celebrating our 10th anniversary at the Madison Beach Hotel. Gorgeous, beautiful room, great balcony, pristine views. Loved our massages, very nice and thoughtful therapists there, and the massages were very therapeutic. Our dinner and breakfast meals were very good. Waitstaff on the beach were attentive and polite. Valet and bellhop staff very friendly and helpful. The only BUT for us was that not as tranquil as I had expected or hoped. Hoping for open balcony doors with the sounds of surf and seagulls. More activity and din than we expected. concert that night. We enjoy music and the band, but did not know this was the booking when we made our reservations months ago. So, sound checking all day, music until after 10, sound crew kept music going after the concert for a little while, which meant no quiet night on the balcony until very late. Breakfast was lovely on the restaurant porch. Loved having the New York Times, a rare treat with little ones at home. But again, noise level high. this time, landscaping and mowing by 9 a.m.. We moved on to the beach, resting on the lovely chaises, but then came the sand combing machines. and shortly thereafter, it was time to check out. so beautiful, gorgeous, pristine, wellfed, but no sand and surf tranquility for us as hoped. Still nice to get away for a day. would give 3.5 stars, but not an option here. Would still recommend, but would let friends know about atmosphere.

I knew this place was priced like a New York City hotel but what I found was not what I expected - it was so much better! The place is as good in quality as it is pleasing to the eye, and it is beautiful.

Shortly after we checked in, the food & beverage manager introduced himself, then brought us up to the owners' cocktail reception where the hotel manager introduced himself, and he then introduced us to one of the owners! They were as nice to us as could be, and each time they saw us throughout our stay they greeted us by name.

We ate in the restaurant twice. Both times the food and the service were top shelf. Some T/A reviewers crabbed the service; not our experience at all. One T/A review was unhappy about the seeming lack of attention they received because of a wedding on the premises. Again, not our experience at all. There was a wedding during our stay but it neither restricted the attention we received nor interfered with our use of the grounds. Hotels are a prime venue for weddings and having one or more take place while you're there is just a simple reality. They're mostly like honey bees - if you don't bother them they won't bother you.

If you're lucky enough to be there in good weather, do stroll the neighborhood. The hotel is set on the beach in a picturesque section of a picturesque town. We were there when almost every house was sporting lavish landscaping and gardening, lavish but not garish, so walking our dog in the neighborhood was an added treat to our stay.

We stay in NYC hotels on average 8 to 10 weekends per year and from our experience we both feel that The Madison Beach is worth every cent of its price.

My only disappointment was that I could not stay longer!

Room Tip: If you're traveling with your dog ask for room 101, 102 or 103. Dogs get rooms on the 1st floor...

This was a Gorgeous Hotel with an Amazing view. It had a Friendly staff. Beautiful location. Only con was that it was astronomically expensive, but worth every cent. Will definitely try to go back again.
