First visit to Market Grille will be my last. The prices are above average and the quality of the food is not. I'm a fan of tuna tartare and have eaten lots of the freshest sushi-grade ahi. I tasted little seasoning in the tuna but sugar, very heavy on the sugar. I asked for a side of soy sauce and waitress offered me a "sweet soy sauce…" and I cut her off right there and told her plain soy sauce would be fine. Tuna didn't need any more sugar! Next, I tasted my companion's crab cake and it was no better than what you can buy frozen. The person who ordered it complained that it was room temp at best when he was served. The small side salad of arugula was smothered in too much dressing. Luckily, my main course was a Caesar salad, again nothing special. It was my good fortune it was not overdressed since I didn't remember to ask for dressing on the side. The highlight of the evening were the won ton chips that came with the tuna tartare. It looks to me like Market Grille is a drinking destination. It's not easy to find terrific seafood in the Manchester area. If you want a good tuna tartare, make the drive to Matthew's in Farmington.
