This was our third trip to the area, and our first time staying at the Grand Pequot...We were very pleased with this property! Part of that may have been the fact that my husband out did himself, and booked us into a Corner King Jacuzzi suite.... The room was HUGE - 1400 square feet with a living room, dining area, wet bar, huge bedroom with king bed and Jacuzzi tub, a full bathroom and a half, and as an extra bonus, a lovely balcony with a couple chairs and a table....SCORE!! The room was very clean and the bed was uber comfy! Lovely warm robes found in the closet were an extra bonus! I don't think our room was one of the recently refurbished, as the fixtures in the tub were a bit tarnished and worn, and there was a small hole in one of the shear curtains...there appeared to be bit of mold/mildew in the corners of the shower, and a small corner where the wallpaper was just starting to curl up from the wall...but that's just me being SUPER picky....the room was one of the nicest we've stayed in, and I would love to make this type of room our new "tradition" for celebrating our anniversary. We checked in early on Monday October 21st, and were immediately given our room......The room was VERY quiet and we never heard any sounds from the hallway at all....it was with very heavy hearts that we checked out on Thursday October 24th and headed back to reality......but we didn't say 'good bye', we said "See ya next time"!!

No matter where we went in this hotel and casino it was cold. In the room, in the rest. in the lobby it was cold. Housekeeping staff was always polite. They apoligzied at midnight for not leaving toilet tissue in the room. The resort fee of 12.50 was asurprise. I was there for a conference and never used and resort areas at all was in conference rooms all day and then froze in my room. Unfortunately you can smell smoke throught the entire complex.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for the recently redone rooms

On the 19th floor facing MGM. Bathroom was big, tub was super large, the bed was comfortable and I slept awesome. Room was quiet, closet has a night light when you open the door. Plenty of outlets and light switches. Toilet scared the crap out of me it was so noisy when flushed (sounded like an airplane toilet). Otherwise it was an amazing 3 night stay.

We enjoyed our time at the Grand Pequot Tower.

It was made even better by Audra, a lovely, smiling, gracious lady at reception who, at our request, moved us from the 11th floor to the 20th floor so we could get great views out over the trees & seeing the birds riding thermals. It was lovely to have great Front desk service like that after a long drive.

Room was good too. Clean and comfortable. Head of housekeeping was performing spot checks which was good to see as it means they take this seriously.

Service at the Festival Buffet & the California Pizza was very good - Thank you Shawna & Alexander respectively.

It really does depend on what you're expecting as to whether you enjoy a place. We went to enjoy scenery (using it as a base) & to play the slots and weren't disappointed.

There were mostly older, mature people there so not a young person's idea of a happening place whilst we were there but this could change depending on time of year.

We'd stay again as we prefer the views & surroundings to the more industrial area of the Mohegan Sun which others suggested we go to.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Pequot for the first time, We were not familair with the rules at a Foxwoods hotel and saw no signs indicating registration. We parked our car near the entrance as we always do when we check into a hotel. We got out of our car, locked it and proceeded to walk to the lobby door. While we were walking , we were yelled at by a valet person. We told him that this was our first time and were not familair with their procdures, instead of him explaining them nicely to us, he treated us as if we were stupid . He was very rude and it was not a nice way to start our long weekend. There is an old saying that first impressions are lasting and this person left a bad lasting impression.
