We chose this restaurant due to its location to MGM theater. I ordered/ate Mushroom Ravioli which was good with average portion, but not worth $24 . Ginger-ale was more seltzer than ginger favor , so we sent it back. Friend ordered Chicken Parmesan appetizer, which they were quite pleased with for half the price and similar portion. If I go again, I'll order appetizers .

Went before a concern last weekend; was going to choose a chicken dish until they told us that all the pasta (except the rigatoni and spaghetti) is handmade in house. Wow. Had a taste of everyone's at the table and they were ALL excellent, especially the tortellini with leeks and pistachios. Starve yourself all day so you can splurge on this pasta. Well worth it and our server was fantastic.

We stayed at Foxwoods for two nights and made a reservation at Alta Strada based on information posted on the Intranet. Alta Strada had an interesting menu and advertised a happy hour from 5 to 7 pm. When we arrived after 6, the bartender told us they no longer offered the happy hour. We were a little disappointed (as it had shown on their website) but ordered drinks and paid full price. When the hostess came to seat us, she said that as she understood, they still had the happy hour and she'd go talk to the manager. She had also told a couple she seated before us that the happy hour was still in effect. We waited some time our food arrived and during that time period no one got back to us (about happy hour). My clams with pasta were very good. However, my husband's chicken parm and zucchini were charred and burned, completely uneatable. Alta Strada was a complete disappointment at this point. Now the manager came over. He saw how terrible the chicken parm looked, apologized and asked if my husband wanted something else. My husband said no and then asked about the happy hour mix-up. Again the manager apologized, saying it was no longer in effect. We told him his staff needed to be better communicated with and we came in based on the website advertised happy hour. Although the cost of the chicken pram that we couldn't eat came off our bill, we would never come here again and there are so many better choices at Foxwoods.

I would like to send our sincerest apologies for disappointing you and your husband while dining in our restaurant.
I cannot make any excuse for the poor communication that you experienced in regard to the happy hour menu and the discontinuation of it , but I can assure you that is not the level and quality of service that we pride ourselves and our restaurant on.
We are currently in the process of creating a new and improved happy hour menu. I hope that you will consider us in the future and experience the hospitality that we pride ourselves on.

Dined there one night with my teenaged sons, despite the oldest trying to talk me out of spending alot of money on dinner. Nice atmosphere, dim and pleasant. There was a good wine list - decent Italian wines by the glass. We enjoyed the freshly baked bread with olive oil, shared a delicious appetizer of mussels and an arugula salad that was simple and excellent. Main meal was just ok - burger with fries was a bit undercooked - and the cheapest option on the menu at $15. My pasta with bolognese was fine but not terribly exciting. My other son got fresh mozzarella appetizer as his main meal. The waiter cautions diners that the main dishes one typically expects to be accompanied by pasta are not accompanied by pasta whch can be ordered separately. The grand total for our special meal out was $127 before tip (with two glasses of wine and 4 sodas). If money's no object, give it a try.
