“What an accidental find”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

I travel to Cumbria a lot for business and usually stay in hotels with no character. I found Littlebeck Warren by accident when everything else was full and what a find it turned out to be. What an amazing place to stay - the rooms are just gorgeous, the team of Sue, Matt and Simone are the loveliest most welcoming people I've met in a long time. The food is fabulous (I put on 2lbs in four nights!) and Matt is quite happy to work a little 'Matthew Magic' if you want to change his menu (which also changes every night rather than every six months!!). I'm going back this week :-)

Room Tip: They are all beautiful - I stayed in Marble but was shown all the others - whichever one you get wil...

We stayed for one night here and should have booked more. The room was the height of luxury and the bed was so comfortable. We stayed in the Glass room which only had a shower, but the attention to detail in there was fantastic. The staff were warm and friendly and were extremely attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Our evening meal was delicious as was the breakfast. There are lots of places to chill out with a glass of wine, such as the lovely garden, the small bar area and the little balcony at the front. Couldn't fault the place. Will definitely recommend it.

Great luxury place to stay for bed, breakfast and evening meal. We booked a night here because of the reviews which say it all. Great attention is paid to every detail and to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Great chef. Would really recommend a stay here. Well positioned for exploring the lake district.

Stayed here 2nights for our anniversary at the beginning of June, we loved it. Matt the chef is a huge credit to sue and runs the place so well with charm and a little cheek lol. Kept us laughing and even changed the menu to suit my fussy needs. Roses on the bed was a great touch and we loved the huge dog who danced with my hubby. The only issue was the copper bath wasn't keen on two of us being in it at the same time and the plug let water out with an annoying high pitched whine lol but we didn't care at the time. Will be back and we miss matts food so much!! Thanks for a relaxing romantic stay see you again xxxxx

Room Tip: Lovely copper room

My husband and i have just returned after a one night stay at this bed and breakfast/hotel. It has been such a lovely break made possible by the excellent hosting skills of Sue and Matt the chef. The accomodation was comfortable and so elegant and the food was so good and that is a comment from a chef. If you want home from home comfort but with the bonus of meeting new people then this is a holiday break you should take.Well done to you all.

We were lucky enough to stay for 3 nights starting 15th May and due to availability we stayed in 2 of the lovely rooms - Stone and Wood. Both rooms are very modern and with every comfort - Sue forgets nothing when it comes to hospitality - but the renovations are very inventive sympathetic with the original very old building. It is well named as a Warren but even getting a bit lost in the building is a pleasure... and you soon find your way around.
The fabulous food at Dinner and Breakfast (great range and ingredients too) freshly prepared by the Chef Matt was a real bonus, and not to be missed... Happy Days!!?
We were there for a mini holiday and very much enjoyed being just off the C2C and Hadrians Cycleway with the ability to cycle from Warren. Walking was brilliant too. Great weather helped us enjoy a beer (or two) on the ample sun terrace - and all the staff as well as Sue gave the same wonderful professional and friendly service and attention to your needs. Didn't need test out special requests as they already provided everything you could imagine.
Will be back, but I hope we can manage to book when we would like to ... a gem like this deserves to be full, but please save some dates for us!!

Room Tip: Wood is on the Ground floor and has easy access to all guest areas if stairs are an issue.
