We stayed at The Plume of Feathers for 3 nights late August. The room (large double) was modern & clean, with all the amenities you would want. The hotel staff were very friendly and informative.
The hotel breakfasts were excellent, we had the full Cornish (too large to finish), also the eggs benedict.
We are at The Plume on two nights the food was very good, steak night on Wednesday.

Overall a lovely place to stay.

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights in a bedroom called " The Hayloft", which was in one of the outbuildings at the back of the hotel. It was on the small side but we were advised of this at the time of booking. There was just enough space for two humans and a dog but it was fine, if a little stuffy at times (small window). It was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom modern with a lovely spacious shower. We found the staff attentive and friendly. The pub has a huge conservatory/extension called the Atrium, which is a really beautiful building and lovely bright space. That part is not open to canines but owners can leave their dogs in their room, if they want to use this space. Otherwise the bar areas are dog-friendly and there is plenty of space there for Rover to stretch on the carpet. The breakfasts are superb. We had the "half Cornish", which was plentiful and delicious. The hotel is situated just off the A30, which makes it really convenient for travellers. The downside, of course, is that the traffic noise is pretty much unavoidable. That being said it didn't disturb us.

We stayed at The Plume of Feathers for a long weekend earlier this year. The room (standard double) was modern & luxurious, with all the amenities you would want. Tea/coffee/hot choc was replenished daily & room was kept spotlessly clean. We travelled with our dog, and the hotel staff were very dog friendly-we were even allowed to take our pooch into the pub.
The hotel breakfasts were great. The were a number of breakfasts to choose from & all were plentiful and scrummy (as was the coffee).
We also had dinner at The Plume on two nights-one night in the restaurant & one night in the bar. The food was lovely-no faults or complaints at all.
Overall, really fabulous place. We will definitely be returning later in the year.

The Plume of Feather's is a little more than we would usually like to pay, but it was in a very convenient place for us to attend a party and not have to drive. The staff were all very welcoming and professional. We stayed in The Boot Room which is lovely - extremely clean, well furnished and equipped with everything you could need for an overnight stay. The bathroom is huge and with a very effective over-the-bath shower (I wonder, though, if the extractor fan was broken when we stayed?) The bed linen is very good quality, and towels big and fluffy - just what is required to make you feel that someone has taken a little bit of care. Good choice for breakfast, very prompt and politely served. Absolutely no complaints!

We have just returned from a weekend break in Newquay. We stayed in the Boot Room at the Plume of Feathers for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. We were thrilled with our room which was clean bright and spacious enough for the 3 of us. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. We didn't eat any other meals there as we spent our days with friends and didn't get back until late but the menu looked delicious.
We would definitely return. Thank you very much. Ben, Mandie and Amelie Rosling.

We stayed at the Plume of Feathers for my Partner's Birthday and to attend their annual festival. Several of our friends booked at the same time. We all were made to feel very welcome, the room was great and attention to detail and cleanliness superb. We ate in their orangery restaurant the service and food was excellent too, great quality, reasonably priced and well presented.

Room Tip: Room 7 is particularly good
