The food is delicious and not too pricey in the pub. Good selection of beers and other drinks. Great staff who know their stuff! Good atmosphere with live music. Highly recommended!!

Fine dining upstairs and cute quaint pub restaurant downstairs. We ate in yhe pub which was very cozy with great stone decor. Our waiter was very personable as well as a great server. Food was delicious!Great little bar to hang out and they have live music on Saturdays. Great atmosphere, service and menu ...highly recommend. Thry dont take reservations at the pub so plan accordingly

“Once Sailors best keep secret!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014

I guess the word is out, The DPI as referred to by the locals, is the best in
town. Come in through the pub and that's as far as you may go. Atmosphere
and people make you feel right at home. Probably why I never made it upstairs,
however this trip to Mystic was with my wife, not the crew of late and finally made
it upstairs. To my surprise the atmosphere was soothing, the food was fabulous,
the service couldn't have been any better. Parking seems to be the only problem
we had, So get there early. Just made reservations for next weekend with new crew
for a charter. Its just the way it was 40 some years ago..

“Lovely food, sat a big group quickly”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

we were recently in Mystic for a wedding and went to the restaurant on our first night. we were in a group of 11 who wanted to eat and another 4 who were drinking as they had already eaten. we hadn't booked but were quickly sat down at a table upstairs. we were given bread and water on the table free of charge.
between the 11 of us we had different meals including blackened jack steak, fillet Mignon, lobster ravioli, lemon peppered chicken and lamb shoulder
the food was all delicious and tasty and cooked to perfection.
some of us swapped the DPI red mash for fries, these were a little bit too soggy and could have done to have crisped up a little more but the meal wasn't spoiled by them, we should have probably just stuck to the mash because everyone who had it said it was delicious!

“Fabulous!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

From the minute we walked in, I knew it would be a great experience. We were led to our table (be sure to call ahead and get reservations) on the top floor of the historic home. It was a wee bit warm up there but we were comfortable. best steak we think we have EVER had. Great service and the salads were amazing. Will be back when in the area.
