This bakery, hidden back from the main road (across from Bravo Bravo Restaurant) is a GEM. Really old fashioned kind of bakery. The owner is a really interesting guy. GREAT sandwiches.

We arrived a bit late to Mystic and found most places already closed for lunch. My wife spotted the Lighthouse Bakery as we were walking to the drawbridge; I thought it was closed but it was not!

The kind owner was busy baking but gladly took our order for sandwiches. It just so happened that we order vegetarian sandwiches but they were all wonderful and not too oily though chock full of eggplant, bell peppers and onions on a wonderful ciabatta bread. The strawberry waffles were also very nice.

But most interesting was the reasonable price for bottled drinks; only $1 a piece where I was expecting to get hit by a much larger figure.

The outdoor seating is nice unless you want to be part of the baking experience inside.

What a nice place! Hidden away so it is not very well attended by tourists. Extremely friendly owners that make your visit feel like visiting friends(who bake really well...)
They make sandwiches and bake breads and pastries.
Highly recommended for breakfast.

Fresh quality homemade breads and pastries. Amazing sandwiches. It's totally a whole in the wall, hodgepodge kind of place, but don't be deceived by it's look. Walking in is like walking into the owners kitchen at home and asking him what's for lunch. They have amazing sandwiches and are such nice people!

My wife and I were walking down Main Street and saw a sign for a bakery. It sits behind a commercial building and you might miss it if you don't look for it. Go ahead and walk down that driveway! We had a yummy cherry pastry and a very unique granola chocolate chip cookie. The owner also let us sample their onion bread which was fresh and delicious. They have nice picnic tables so you can sit and enjoy your treat outside of the bakery.
