“Nice hotel close to I-95 and walking distance to many attractions”
Reviewed 5 July 2012

Our family stayed in this hotel for one night during a stopover in Mystic, CT. The hotel is well-appointed, convenient both to I-95 and a walking distance to the Aquarium and the Seaport. The historic town is a short drive away. The room was very spacious and super clean and bright. There was a heated pool that our kids thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is well placed for anything you want to do in Mystic. The hotel itself is clean and well appointed. The part that makes it shine is the service. The staff were very attentive and went out of their way to take care of us. We were there for the wooden boat show, and the hotel was completely booked, but the staff took it all in stride and accommodated our every request.
Rooms were nice with two double beds on one side of a half wall, a sitting area with pull out couch on the other. Plenty of room for parents and two teenage boys. Free wifi, big TV with all the connection options you could want. Everything was good.
Now if you are looking for quaint New England charm, or killer views of the waterfront, this isn't the place for you. Its tucked back in a grove of trees. Its quiet, plush and you can get a good nights sleep, but its not on the waterfront. If you want water views, or walking distance to downtown Mystic and the cool shops and restaurants, head a mile south to the Inn at Mystic.

Room Tip: Avoid the first floor room next to the kitchen. The beeping of the microwaves as the staff starts b...

We just returned from 2 nights at the Hyatt Place Mystic and really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the room and hotel were clean and quiet. The location of the hotel was great, we were able to walk to the village, aquarium and seaport very easily. The breakfast provided was good, including bagels, toast etc. cereal, oatmeal, fruit, donuts and breakfast sandwiches. Milk, juice and Starbucks coffee also included. The kids used the pool at night before bed, it was small, but there were not a lot of people using it when we were there, so it was not crowded. If we return to Mystic one day, we would certainly stay at the Hyatt Place again.

Well placed for Mystic, the Seaport and almost next door to the lovely Aquarium – don’t miss the enchanting Beluga Whales. Rooms are clean, well sized with big beds and separate area with a roll out bed and big TV with easy to use TV connections for laptop or iPad, there is a desk, coffee maker and fridge. Good Wi-Fi.
Very good breakfast, drinks and coffee bar open till 11.
No on site restaurant but the hotel is walking distance from several restaurants and fast food outlets in and around the Olde Mystick Shopping Village.
This was our second stay here, only stayed one night last time. Liked it so much we came back for a longer stay. Would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

We were in Mystic for the weekend for a bittersweet occasion, a celebration of the life of my brother-in-law, who died recently. The hotel, though near I-95, was quiet and peaceful, cool and clean. The rooms were stylishly decorated and modern; we had a suite-like arrangement with a large sectional couch (including pull-out sofa that we didn't need to pull out), wet bar and desk, slightly separated from bed and bathroom area. Bathroom counter faces bed but is huge and long and lovely; so much more spacious than the tiny counter we had the night before at another hotel that wouldn't hold any toiletries.

But what made the hotel so especially nice was the staff. We were tired, sad, and discombobulated on check in. The staff was kind and calm and so pleasant and helpful. The next morning, we of course failed to note when breakfast ended and wandered down 15 minutes late, while the staff was cleaning up. They were so kind, again, whipping out oatmeal and yogurt and toasting us bagels, finding juice, etc. It was a nice gesture that meant a lot to us on a difficult day, and we were very grateful.

The hotel is well-placed very near I-95 and Mystic, not far from New London, Waterford, and Groton. I recommend it!

Stayed at the Hyatt Place for a quick weekend trip and we are happy with the spacious, clean rooms, warm and helpful staff that catered to our requests, inquiries, etc. The hotel is also within a close driving distance to the general attractions in Mystic, CT. The breakfast offered, included in your reservation, was ample and there was a variety offered. Very pleasant and with the price point offered, it's unbeatable!!!
