we visited during the Christmas season to view the European Nativity scenes. They were beautiful and each was unique in its own way. We we warmly welcomed by a K of C member as we entered and were made to feel at home.

Depending upon time of year this is a very interesting museum to visit - they have different exhibits, e.g., creches at Christmastime, Historical exhibits are also very interesting. It is one of the cleanest public places I've ever seen and parking is pretty ample underneath the building, which is saying something for New Haven (believe me, I won't visit most places there precisely because of the absolutely DISMAL parking situation). Worth checking out.

I have visited this museum 3 or 4 times. They have very interesting changing exhibits. One that really stands out was about building St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican. A lot of the exhibits have to do with history. Worth checking out.

We easily walked the few blocks from New Haven Green to the Knights of Columbus Museum. Understated from the outside, but a spacious building inside with a wide range of exhibits. We specifically went to check out the William Congdon exhibition, 'The Sabbath of History'. The person at reception was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and offered to put on the 30 minute video about Congdon before we went to view the exhibition. It was very informative and traced his journey as an artist. The range of paintings on display and the accompanying commentary provided a great overview of Congdon's work. Inspiring! The Knights of Columbus have a close link with the Vatican, and it was interesting to read about that, and also some of the Pope's writings. I'd rate this as a 'must do' if you're visiting New Haven.
