“Park rundown and overpriced”
Reviewed 11 July 2014 via mobile

The beach itself was very clean, trash bins well maintained its a short walk from the boardwalk to the ocean which was nice...once getting into water it was very rough lots of pebbles rocks and other things to hurt my poor feet and literally no seashells! Price of parking was absolutely ridiculous as the park is run down for the money they charge to get in 6 bucks per person they should reinvest the money into the park which needs a lot of tlc. The rides they offered looked battered I wouldn't let my kids ride if I had any. Playground was partly boarded up and unsafe for kids in my opinion. makes one wonder where all the money is going clearly not into restoration. Police and life guards on scene..a lot of the staff were young and uninformed about general questions. Parking was sheer hell the parking lot offered was 22 bucks but thankfully filled by chance we ran into a little old lady renting space in her lot for 10 bucks (Yeah!) Basically its a hole in the wall tucked in a tiny corner of overcrowded hell....i wont be visiting again.

“Great Beach but Typical Overpriced New England Hotspot”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

The beach and boardwalk area were clean and great to hang out and spend an afternoon. Lots of places to spend money though. After you pay $20 to get your automobile in you can plan to spend more on the rides, snacks, chair rentals, lockers, etc. The sand is clean and the views are great. We had a great time but after the sticker shock this midwesterner experienced again and again in Connecticut it was hard to spend another Hamilton on yet another beach entry fee. Overall, it was a good experience just plan on bringing your wallet.

“Reminds me of the good ole days!”
Reviewed 29 June 2014

This was our first time coming here but we really liked it. Parking is expensive - $17 during the week but if you're staying for the day or going with a carful of people it's not bad. This is an old fashion boardwalk at it's best. Besides the boardwalk & the beach, there's an arcade, rides, water slide, pool, miniature golf & of course fried dough. The beach was cleaned & I'm assuming daily raked & cleaned up. No loud radios are aloud & I liked that. We just wanted to sit on the beach & read our books & not listen to somebody's elses idea of music is. I saw a stage, so I assume they have concerts too. We went on a cloudy hazy day so it wasn't busy at all.

“An Intriguing Summer Destination”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

This park has everything needed for a full summer day for the entire family. The ocean is inviting with an expansive beach to set up camp with umbrella, chairs and blankets. There are picnic tables for a family affair or a variety of places for takeaway. Enjoy the fun in the upscale amusement section.
