Again and again. Interesting, original fare. Chef uses local veggies, meats & cheeses. Be prepared to wait after 6pm weekends.

This restaurant verges on becoming an emotional experience. Finely crafted, locally sourced food created - and served - with great care and attention. Try the green curry mussels for an experience on how subtle, rich and flavourful curry can be. Try the duck to see a shade of pink (in the gorgeous sliced breast meat) that you have never seen before. Enjoy talking to the servers about how great the food is. Revel in the soaring but simple atmosphere of the dining room. This is one of those restaurants that makes you look and feel better than you usually do. (Even the tableware here tells you that the guy in charge is switched on.) Leave your attitude at home - you'll have to wait for a table, but Community Table has created a comfortable place to do that, and enjoy your BYO wine while you sit in anticipation. Better yet, take a punt and try something off the house's new, adventurous and growing wine list. As you leave Community Table, you will want to tell everyone about it and keep it your deepest secret at the same time. The compromise: Go with good friends.
I left stuffed and a little disappointed that I filled myself up on the delicious bread they offered us. We had to wait about 40 minutes for a table, but it was so worth it! And we waited with a bottle of wine, so that didn't hurt too much. Seriously, the food was amazing and so flavorful. My husband had pork belly, and I don't even eat pork, but when I tasted it I was jealous he had it and not me. And not too bad on the wallet either!
Fantastically creative, fresh, and delicious. Chef Joel Viehland tries to source most ingredients from local farmers and providers. No mistake, this is world class food, in a slightly unlikely location.
This can't be compared to any other restaurants as it's central principal is different. Check out the website.
In quality of food, this is far and away the best restaurant in a 50 mile radius. It just shouldn't be compared to a place like the Mayflower Inn, which is stodgy and traditional/boring in comparison.
