We happened upon this place by accident and were so happy we stopped! As part of our trip to New England we drove from Boston to Essex, CT and we had a list from online of the best places to eat lobster along our road trip. The 1st place had over a 4 hour wait time so we moved on to the next one. The next three were closed for the season. So we headed towards the water hoping to find an open restaurant. We came upon this little building near the marina with a lot of cars in the parking lot and thought it must be a locals' hang out, let's try it. The hostess was greeting most people by name. The bar was to the left and dining room to the right. We were seated immediately and Lee our waitress was so patient, friendly and helpful! We ordered some appetizers to start, Lee recommended the bomster scallops, they were excellent and melted in your mouth. My husband who does not like scallops ever, liked these. The clam chowder was thick, creamy and loaded with clams. The popcorn shrimp were lightly breaded and seasoned wonderfully. The shrimp for the cocktail tasted like they had just come off the boat, very tender and flavorful. We both had the whole lobster and it was extremely delicious. By this time we were so full we couldn't eat any of the sides, so we took them with us along with some desserts. With all that we ordered, our whole dinner was under $100 for the two of us and everything was a "yum" in every bite. We would definitely eat there again and again.

Stopped by here for lunch on the recommendation of the local sheriff! I hope when he retires he becomes a food critic.
Absolutely everything we ate was outstanding! Clam chowder, Bomber Scallops wrapped in bacon, fresh Cod sandwich, and the lobster roll served hot with drawn butter, as recommended by our super friendly and knowledgeable waitress “Kit”.
Absolutely a must visit when in Mystic! We may be back for dinner!!

We waited 45 minutes for our food. Two out of 3 entree were cold. We complained and were treated like we were liars! Manager offered us a new entree but after waiting 45 minutes we declined. They comped one meal. The manager them went over to another table and started to talk about us...very unprofessional
...food was just fair. We won't go back!

The place is very nicely decorated with maritime items. Menu consist of seafood options. We order scallops baked with Gouda cheese and the swordfish with guacamole, everything was delicious. Our server was on point and very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great find in Groton long point. Blue point lager was refreshing. Surprised they had Yueling Black and Tan. Ordered calamari for starter: crispy and lite batter. Recommended lobster grilled cheese: fantastic. Husband had fish and chips enjoyed every bite. Highly recommend this little place.
