“Very comfortable and pleasant”

My daughter and I stayed at The Foley on 11 and 12 July to enable us to go to the Hampton Court Flower Show. We were extremely comfortable and the staff were very welcoming and helpful I would definitely stay there again. They have a lovely garden where one can eat one's evening meal and have a quiet drink after a very busy day.

We stayed at the Foley this weekend as we were attending the Hampton Court Flower show. Location was fantastic for this and would have also been perfect for Thorpe Park, Chessington and Wisley RHS gardens. It is newly refurbished and has a lovely family friendly pub and restaurant. I took my mum for her 70th birthday and both evenings ate in the restaurant and considering the location of this hotel our meals on both night including drinks were no more than £15 per head which i thought very reasonable. Staff are all very friendly and the breakfast is good too.

Hotel is fabulous but make sure you check your reservation a week before you intend to stay as chances are it may have changed due to computer glitches.
the hotel itself meets all levels of expectation can't rate it highly enough

Really great rooms for families. Comfy beds, newly decorated, clean smart bathrooms. Lovely reception team. V.quiet with black our curtains too. Easy parking directly outside too. Food here is also delicious, the breakfast was great & the waiting staff friendly & kind to kids.

Not one to usally comment or leave reviews, however on this occasion i felt the need! Looking at the prices i was a little apprehensive yet i felt it was really worth it due to the small things. We had a young waitress that made us smile, welcome and answered my difficult friends questions. It was really busy so we where honestly suprised to get a table as we didn't book. Looking around we thought that we would have to wait for awhile so orderd practically straight away. These came a lot faster than anticipated. (The soup was intresting!) Our waitress kept us up to date on where our food was at which we have never experienced in a pub before. We dont eat out as often as we would like so it becomes a real treat and that it was!

I live not far from claygate and the area does not lack in pub choices. I decided to try the Foley as i hadnt yet been and I had heard about there recent renevation. I was amazed by the size of the bar area which meant that grabbing a seat on a busy Friday night was not a problem. A great selection of wine to choose from and one of the barmen recommended a lovely rose. I originally went just for drinks, however saw some of the food and couldnt resist. The burgers in particular looked amazing and my wife had the fish and chips which also was one of the best she had in awhile. Although prices may seem a little steep the large portions and quality of food more than made up for this. We did have to wait a little while for the bill, but as we were in no rush this was not a problem. All together the place had a great vibe and with a lovely additional outdoor decking area I cant wait to check it out when the sunshine comes! Definitly would recommend and would say to those who have had bad experiences to give it another go. I will be back.

Room Tip: I did not stay in hotel

My partner and i stayed at the Foley to attend a pre-wedding drinks night at nearby Esher.
We were both very impressed. They emailed us on the day to say they were looking forward to meeting us later that day.
Check in very quick.
Our bedroom was absolutely lovely.. Huge bed, very clean, bright and spacious , with a sofa.
The bathroom was huge and very well stocked.
What made it a cut above the rest, was the detail in little things. The room had the usual tea and coffee but with a cafetiere ,scoop for the coffee and fresh milk in the fridge.
Breakfast was lovely, really enjoyable experience.
Usual help yourself from a huge wooden station.
I had eggs benedict which was cooked to perfection.
Would not hesitate to stay again.
