The hotel is ideally located and although it is a very large hotel is very nicely decorated and still has a personal feel.
We had a lovely large room on the same floor as the pool and despite being next door to the bar was very peaceful. Pool towels are provided and from the pool area you can look across to the beach.
Next to the hotel is the Boardwalk Casino, a manmade lake, together with number of shops and restaurants, it has quite an American feel. Each evening there is a water and light show which is worth watching.
For breakfast there is a vast selection of buffet foods and you can also order various cooked options. We had some issues with the tour we had pre-booked but the staff at the hotel were very helpful
Port Elizabeth is a good “gateway” location to get to the many game reserves or the garden route but there isn’t much to see in the town itself
