We stopped on a Friday morning and were dazzled by the location- beautiful and the facilities are immaculate. The tasting room was nearly empty and we were greeted half-heartedly. We asked about the tour and were told...”it’s not much... we just walk you out into the vineyard” which seemed like less than a stellar endorsement. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck for $8 each and after asking a few questions with half-hearted responses we left. The experience just seemed less than welcoming. Based on other reviews we must have had an unusual experience. Worth a visit for the views and the wines are good. We hope our visit was an anomaly

Visited on a Saturday. Was told it might be crowded so we brought our own chairs. Did not end up using them because there was space on the deck. There is ample seating but some areas have better views of the wineries than others. We were able to take a Uber to and from. We liked the Sauvignon blanc and Cabernet. But the Cabernet has a hefty price tag so we stuck to whites!

I’ve visited this winery a few times in the last couple of years, most recently 5/27/18. It seems to be one of the busier wineries on the CT wine trail, as it is often difficult to get and keep a spot at the bar while doing a wine tasting. It does get rather loud inside, but when the weather is nice, they have a few outdoor areas to sit in. The staff here is always very friendly and helpful, they try to make sure all of their guests doing tastings aren’t waiting too long in between wines, make conversation and answer questions. Some more indoor seating I think would be helpful, particularly on rainy days like today was. Their tastings are $15 for 7 wines, which makes it one of the more expensive tastings on the wine trail, but I think their wines are very good, so it’s worth it. Bring a picnic and sit outside with a glass or a bottle on a nice day, you won’t regret it!

On a recent girls' weekend to Stonington, we opted to visit the Jonathan Edwards Winery.
Beautiful grounds and fun atmosphere made the stop perfect.

While there, a wedding was being held later in the day - and we enjoyed watching a pre-wedding photo session in the barrel room.

Socialized with other winery guests, enjoyed our wine and added this stop to our memories of a perfect day, in spite of the rain.
