“Wounder stores to meander through on a nice day”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

No chain or typical stores here . Some have been here for years as others have sadly fallen by the wayside but all are a treat . As the the eateries . SONO has expanded over the years so , more to see do and buy . Metered parking and parking garage available or free parking if you are not opposed to walking . More meters now than in the past but it's a testament to the popularity of the area .

“Lots of places to eat.”
Reviewed 8 June 2013

SoNo, does not offer alot of shopping boutique choices anymore. It's mostly bars and restaurants. Parking is not the greatest. It's ok during the festival times, but other than the maritime center, really what else is there to do? Nothing really.

“An historic neighborhood”
Reviewed 26 May 2013

The variety of Restaurants is the first reason for visiting. The small shops on Washington Street and nearby is the second - all in well-preserved and rehabilitated turn of the century buildings of various styles, reflecting the importance of this area as South Norwalk's early 20th century shopping and business center.

“What else are you going to do around here?!?”
Reviewed 7 May 2013

If you are suck in Norwalk and need a great bar street, this is your street. Wanna sit outside and eat italian food on a quaint street without feeling like you're eating on a motor highway in Connecticut? Well then, this is your street. Are you in Manhattan? Then go out THERE, and don't bother coming to SoNo unless you're meeting some married friend who wants to catch up, and can't make it in to the city. Which is just about the only reason to chose SoNo over Manhattan. But, as far as (relatively short) streets full of bars and restaurants go, SoNo is pretty good (for Connecticut).
