The chef at TRE is a very talented guy.
The small plates are wonderful; I think, since we've eaten here at least 6 times, we've tried them all.
We have not had one complaint about the food and we're real sticklers.
Give TRE a go. You will not be disappointed.

Very nice, impressive dinner experience at this restaurant that is now about a year old.

There are two sections to the restaurant, a bar area with a banquette and some tables nearby, and a separate tables only restaurant section. We arrived relatively late in the evening and the restaurant was pretty empty, so we sat at a table in the bar area. Very nicely decorated, very comfortable chairs, and service was very friendly and accommodating without being intrusive.

But the food - that's the best part. We loved the warm bread to start, with tasty garlic, oil & balsamic dip. Mr. started with warm polenta with a sauce of mushroom, onion, tomato. We each had a salad, mine was arugula and pear, he had a different salad, both had nice dressings and flavor combinations. He had striped bass with potatoes and a vegetable - I'm not too clear on what he ate because I was so thrilled with my carefully seasoned salmon with delicious brown rice with haricot verts and a few other goodies and a great sauce. Water refills were prompt, wines by the glass were fine.

I really liked the other touches - real hefty silverware, big napkins, nice lighting: definitely not just whatever was cheapest at the restaurant supply store.

This is a place I happily recommend. You may have to search a bit to find it - it's around the corner, in the space that Books on the Common once inhabited.

Tre is an example of what outstanding food can be like. An innovative menu is backed up by excellent cooking and service. We were with a group of 8 so service was a bit slow but not excessively so. A really good carmalized fig appetizer set the tone followed by excellent main courses that everyone raved about. My duck dish was unusual and delicious if, unfortunately, not hot. Again our large group probably contributed to that problem. A small desert menu still satisfied my sweet tooth. Reasonable if not inexpensive prices. Will be back often.

Very nice little restaurant. Beautiful inside with a beautiful bar. Salads were delicious as were our entrees. Also they have a small plates menu which was nice.

Great, attentive service, and very good food. The menu is not extensive, but the ingredients are unique and fresh.
