I am so pleased that I read an article in Zoomer magazine about travel to the Iles de la Madeleine. That prompted out visit this fall. The journalist also stayed in La Butte Ronde and had positive comments about this B&B. We chose this accommodation based on that article as well as the very high ratings on tripadvisor.
An deservedly so - you arrive as strangers but Nadine ensures that you leave as friends. In various capacities, Nadine has been involved with the tourism business and definitely knows what it means to provide superior customer service.
This B&B is excellent value - we feel that the room rate was very reasonable.
Our room #5 was fantastic - large, well furnished, and had a view of the butte and a bit of ocean off in the distance. There are areas for guests' use like the large living room as well as a small kitchen/sitting area where there were dishes, a fridge, a microwave, a Keurig machine with pods, a sink and a small dining table. This allowed for some simple meal prep - or just to eat takeout food. This turned out to be very advantageous as many restaurants shut down for the season in early September.
An outdoor deck with views toward the ocean was a very pleasant place to sit - weather permitting.
The location of this B&B is fantastic for access to the ferry and for exploring the islands in the upper half of the archipelago.
We had a ferry to catch to Souris, PEI early in the morning and without asking, Nadine volunteered to prepare us a "breakfast on the go" tray including fruit, muffins, etc. We appreciated it - especially since in similar situation at other B&Bs on this trip, that offer was not made.
