My wife and I stayed at the Earl Grey in early March, when the weather was decidedly brisk outside. Inside, the opposite: the suite we stayed in was warm and cozy, with a four poster bed in a beautifully decorated bedroom, with an adjoining sitting room furnished with comfortable chairs for reading. The single cup coffee maker was an added treat for me, who is an early riser, until we joined Dick and Patti Boyle for a marvelous breakfast.
The inn is on a hill overlooking Salisbury, which is a quaint village with interesting shops, including a very good wine store. Oh, and there were no bells or chimes at night, which was mentioned in another review. Maybe somebody turned them off.
This was a great weekend getaway, and the Boyles are charming hosts who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
