“A Bed-and-Breakfast-Style Hotel”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

My husband and I spent two nights at the Simsbury and were very pleased. We weren't part of the two or three wedding parties staying there--but we enjoyed it anyway. The management gave us a quiet room; the breakfast, while a bit slow one of the mornings, was excellent; and the shuttle to the airport was much appreciated and quite efficient. the Inn is located near an attractive greenway.

Room Tip: We asked to be away from the elevator and there was no noise.

The Simsbury Inn was an incredibly magical location for a winter evening wedding reception. The twinkle of white lights in the dining room echoed by the light in the snow. Fabulous food and service and probably one of the most beautiful wedding cakes I've ever seen. It was a sin to cut it. I highly recommend this very romantic spot.

I have stayed at The Simsbury Inn a few times over the past few years and I have consistently experienced the best level of service and hospitality. The front desk staff is warm and welcoming. The overnight rooms are amazingly clean and tastefully decorated. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The food is AMAZING. I would recommend staying at The Simsbury Inn.

We were in Simsbury for a wedding last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms themselves were nicely sized with very comfortable King sized beds and bedding. The entire feel is charming but the bathrooms could use some updating; the wallpaper is starting to peel and the fixtures are starting to tarnish. The hotel even has a washer/dryer with detergent provided for guests to use for free. We ate at the TWIG bar one night and the sandwiches were very tasty. The front desk staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful but the bar staff was. I'd definitely stay here again if ever back in Simsbury!

Room Tip: Get a king bed if it's just 2 people. They're very comfortable.

While visiting friends in Simsbury, we were so pleased to find this Inn that had a lovely decor and rooms were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a little dated, but the friendliness of the staff and charming atmosphere more than made up for it. There was even a complimentary lovely breakfast in the morning - excellent!

Room Tip: Not sure - we had two different rooms on the second floor and both were perfectly fine.

Staff completely ignores you like you don't exist. Had several friends and family fill a block of rooms after a wedding and they could care less. We were treated like trash there by everyone including night management and staff. They closed the bar in the middle of the post wedding celebration early and called the police just to make sure it would close. Very ridiculous. Several emails to the place about my visit have gone unanswered. Not very professional at all. They just don't care. Rooms are very old and small. Breakfast foods are very small, and very pricey. There is a larger franchise hotel chain about 2 miles down the same road. I would look into them before ever considering this place.

I have stayed at The Simsbury Inn a few time over the past couple of years. The staff is awesome! They answered all of my questions over the phone that when I came to stay everything went perfectly. The property is also gorgeous (I attended a wedding there)! I would highly recommend The Simsbury Inn to anyone staying in the greater Hartford area. It doesn't hurt that the food is also incredible!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are incredible quiet and private
