This Inn is stunning! The rooms are beautiful. The location is awesome!

The complimentary cheese and wine is a must! You get to mingle with other guests and wonderful staff.

Breakfasts are wonderful and the people who work here are the cherries on the cake. Warm and kind and make you very welcome.

We had 3 nights here and did not want to leave.

The sitting room has a view that is fairy tale! Watch the best sunset you will ever see!

We will be going back.
Stonnington has some great places to eat too.

Thank you all at the Inn. :))

My wife and I just stayed here recently for one night. It was just about the best experience we could have asked for. The inn is located in a great spot in an beautiful village that is right on the water. The inn itself is completely up to date, very clean and well maintained. The interior is elegant and refined, and the rooms are excellent in terms of size, decor and features. The service is top notch - every employee was friendly and helpful. Delicious wine and cheese are provided in the evening, and an equally delicious breakfast in the morning. There are three great wineries very nearby, and a host of other activities within easy driving distance. The restaurants in the village are great as well. We'll be going back as often as possible.

Room Tip: ALL of the rooms are great - each unique and all 5 stars. Some have better views than others but that's all I recall about how/why to choose.

Stonington is a little peninsular just outside Mystic. The Inn has been on this site for centuries but the actual building burnt down 10 years ago and the current building while a replica of the original is state of the art with a modern gym, jacuzzis and rates include a decent breakfast. The Inn overlooks the sound and the town itself it a great place to spend a weekend.
We opted for one of the two top rooms facing the water. It was worth the extra.
The staff are all locals and friendly and helpful and ready to chat any time of the day. Get the owner Bill started on his sailing experiences. Tea and coffee were available all day and we were able to persuade the staff to leave out some cake left over from breakfast

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in room 17, the annex building. The view was not great in this room, but the beauty, size and cleanliness of the room more than made up for that. The bathroom was also well equipped, huge with a jacuzzi tub and large shower. In the main building the lobby, living room and bar were very cozy and there was a nice deck off of the living area.
It was quiet and located in the heart of Stonington, which was just a lovely place. The staff was more than helpful and all pleasant to talk to. We were able to see the adjacent towns and get back to Stonington in time for a rest, then back out to dinner. Great restaurants here....all within walking distance. Overall, a great place to stay....loved it!

Room Tip: Annex building is very quiet with large rooms and baths.

My girlfriend and I (we are in our late 20s) stayed here for a night in room 12. Corner room, spacious with a jacuzzi tub. Added a bottle of wine and it turned into the most luxurious stay of our trip to New England. I will recommend to everyone! Very cozy. Extremely clean!!!! I come from a family of clean freaks and they all would be very comfortable here. I was very impressed. The Ritz Carlton and Omni Resorts can't compete with this. We were even escorted to our room and given a tour when we checked in. Very very nice people!
